agreed that they would not join due to a lack of money, and six out of those seven said they still would

Society today possesses an over reliance on technology. Advancements in technology paved the way
for the formation of new applications and forms of social media that potentially lead to the loss of the
intimacy of communication and personal relationships among users. As a result of the ease of
communication through technology, face to face interaction rarely occurs anymore. Long before
technology began advancing at a rapid pace, authors used their medium of writing to comment on the
dangers of relying on technology too excessively. E.M. Forster s short story, The Machine Stops,
written in 1909, highlights a dilemma that society s over reliance on technology created between
virtual connectivity and face to face interaction. That over reliance, perfect for the futuristic, dystopian
society in The Machine Stops, also serves as a cautionary tale for the technological culture of today.
Vashti takes comfort in all the luxuries that the Machine provides, but that comfort comes with a price.

that supported my original hypothesis that in the addition of substrate and an enzyme the reaction
would be present in varying degrees dependent on whether a temperature change was provided or not.
In the second part of the experiment we were testing the inhibition action of Catechol Oxidase at
different levels in several tubes of varying samples of potato extract, phenylthiourea (PTU) and
distilled water. The experiment showed that (PTU) bonded with the extract and the water causing a
reaction whereas there was no reaction in tube # 1 where there was an equal amount of everything in
