Ethical Issues, Social Media Influence, and Medical...
Introduction The iPhone 5 C model has incorporated multiple technologies that could affect the
current global atmosphere differently. For instance, the fact that this product can connect to multiple
medical gadgets could alter the current medical practices. In addition, its production resulted in ethical
issues that could affect its future users and non users. This is because most of the ethical issues affect
the workers (who could be prospective iPhone 5 C users). Another important aspect to note is that the
social media has had an influence on the publicity of the item. This is because major debates have
occurred in the social media regarding the iPhone 5 C models, which have contributed positively or
negatively to the market perception ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nonetheless, there were some positive comments because the iPhone 5 C model came in an array of
colors. This is because of it had colors such as blue yellow, and pink.
Medical Effects of the iPhone 5 C The iPhone 5 C model uses the iOS 7 system, which is
accompanied by medical concerns. This technology makes the screen appear to be in layers in addition
to a zooming feature than occurs when switching between applications. According to Bashak (2013),
this technology has been reported to cause problems analogous to carsickness. This type of sickness is
called vertigo that occurs when problematic cases occur in the inner ear or eye. It could be described
as what one perceives to be different from the motion in the inner ear senses. The author further
asserts that Apple fans have had trouble from the transition involving applications and the home
screen. The main reason for this discomfort is the new parallax innovation that forces the screen
background to move back and forth. Since the iOS 7 is preinstalled in the model, it becomes a major
medical concern that must be checked. Another medical concern regarding the iPhone 5 C model is
about the smaller dock, which could lead to an increased transition in Bluetooth technology (in the
medical industry). In September 2013, Apple executive announced that the iPhone 5 C models would
apply 30 pin connectors to 8 pin connectors called

The Christian Worldview
The Christian Worldview is very widely known in today s society. This religion has many strong
beliefs about the creation of the world and what waits for believers in the afterlife. Psalms 111:10
gives a good idea of the foundation of the Christian worldview by saying. The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal
praise. (New International Version). The Christian worldview has very specific beliefs and
expectations in God, humanity, Jesus and Restoration. According to the Christian Worldview, God is
to be feared, known, and loved as the sovereign creator whom all should glory, honor, and praise. God
is believed to have many characteristics, included but not limited to being unchanging, all powerful,
all knowing, good, loving, jealous, faithful, and holy. These characteristics are believed to be true
because they are seen through his eternal nature,, his omnipotence and his goodness (DiVincenzo,
2014). In Romans 1:20, the Holy Bible says, For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and
divine nature, have been clearly perceived, aver since the creation of the world, in the things that have
been made. God is also the first person in the Trinity, the belief that there is one God who exists in
three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Kilby, 2011). Another belief of the Christian worldview is
that God is the creator of all things; however, distinct from his creation. The first

Summary Of A Reality Of Their Own By Dave Zirin
The Shape of Dave Zirin s Argument
In the essay, A Reality of Their Own: Jameis Winston, Rape and Seminole Fandom at Florida State,
Dave Zirin argues that people should view Florida State s star quarterback Jameis Winston, who was
wrongly accused of sexual assault, as a model citizen because the school s code of conduct and the
court cleared him of any wrong doing. According to zirin, although no one knows for sure if Winston
is a rapist, many now know how Florida State University handled the situation. Dave Zirin s argument
can also lead to a question of issue regarding why American universities struggle to resolve sexual
assaults properly.
In the beginning of Zirin s essay he provided contextual information about Florida State s mascot. ...

Meaning that it all comes down to money. So in order to get money what do colleges and universities
do? They cover up. They hide and they try to erase the fact that their all star athletes are bad people.
For example, if Florida State chose to truly act upon the case of Winston fairly, they would ve banned
him out of the football team and he would ve had to face the consequences of jail time along with
being a registered sex offender. If this were to happen FSU would lose a valuable player which could
cause their chances of making it to the Rose Bowl Championships. Furthermore, it could cause a

Case Study Of Taneja s Saras Aircraft Supply Chain
improving their strategic position within Taneja s Saras aircraft supply chain, namely through reducing
costs both by considerable changes in organization and management and by establishing their own
subcontractors network, onto which they shift a share of the cost increase. This aspect clearly shows
that the adoption of an MRP system at Taneja s Saras aircraft has two implications on the supply
chain: It imposes more stress in the supply chain. Subcontractors have to both reduce costs and meet
Taneja s new requirements; it is actually supportive of relations between customers and
subcontractors. Through changes in Material requirement planning professional skills and

Inciting Incident Monologue
Who is she and how does she know my name? There are more eyes staring at me with disgust than I
can count. I feel like an animal at the zoo, having my every move observed. I can t move, I can t think
and I can t speak. These people don t know me or what happened that night. If I were bold I would say
something back at them. I can feel my throat closing in as I think. I would never be able to speak. I
don t know what to do. I feel to blame for this girl whose brother got arrested at that party. He got
fired because of the arrest (28) but she doesn t know why I did it. My head is filled with voices
responding to all of these comments but I can t open my mouth to tell them. There is nothing I can do

In Speak the major problem is that Melinda is not able to speak up for herself from the moment she
was raped at the party. She speaks very minimally throughout the book and the reader mainly just gets
insight into Melinda s thoughts rather than hearing what she says. This problem gets solved when
Andy Evans traps Melinda in her closet and attempts the rape her again. He is frustrated with her
because he feels that she started spreading lies, and now every girl in school is talking... like I m some
kind of pervert. (193). At first, things are just the same with Melina; she can t find the power within
herself to speak. Andy is hurting her and thinks that she won t do anything to help herself, he says You
re not going to scream. You didn t scream before. (194). The climax then occurs as Melinda explodes;
she screamed and pushed Andy off of her. She gained the courage to speak, she told Andy I said no.
(195) and he nodded. Melinda finally found her voice and it is going to help her on her pathway
towards emotional recovery from everything she has been

Essay on Life of the Female Pioneer on the Oregon Trail
Life of the Female Pioneer on the Oregon Trail
University Of Phoenix

Kim Murphy
Life of the Female Pioneer on the Oregon Trail My life as a female pioneer taking the journey down
the Oregon Trail was one of hardship and adventure. During the early 1800s settlers began to explore
new territory in the New World looking for new opportunities. Through the pioneer journeys of Lewis
and Clark a route through America was discovered that would take settlers to new land in the Pacific
Northwest portion of the country. To reach the new land pioneers, such as I, had to travel down what
became known as the Oregon Trail. Through the Oregon Trail the expansion of the West began but to

Women were forced to become the slave of an Indian family or the wife of an Indian brave while the
children were adopted by Indian families or made to be slaves. I and the other women were
responsible for ensuring the food supply lasted on the long journey as well as packing the wagon. We
were also responsible for cooking the meals on the Oregon Trail. We were required to wear long
dresses with long sleeves in oppressive heat and care for all of the needs of the men and children as
well as tend to the sick. There was a major risk to the female pioneer of losing our husbands or even
our children to illness or accidents along the Oregon Trail. If the food supply ran short the men would
hunt for food, use supplies meant for our new homes, or die of starvation. Illnesses, such as Typhoid
and cholera, were common and would spread through the wagon trains creating more work for us
women (Bledsoe, 1984). The overworked women would in turn become more vulnerable to becoming
sick and perishing. Women who gave birth while on the Oregon Trail faced vast difficulty and in many
cases the female pioneer or the new born would die. Women pioneers were usually fairly young
because women during this time married as young as 14 but quickly toughened up because of the
major responsibilities we faced on the trail. Despite the many hardships faced by myself and the other
female pioneers, we helped to pave the

The Battle Of Churchill As A Scapegoat For The Failure
As history unfolded, the Dardanelles offensive failed, but the ground invasion plans for Gallipoli went
ahead as planned. By the end of the campaign, massive amounts of lives had been lost on the British
side, and it was a decisive failure. Dardanelles and Gallipoli were very much a prime example of
something Churchill would do over and over again: see positives, but not negatives or consequences,
only possibilities. These campaigns were the end of Churchill politically for a time, along with the
Asquith government. Asquith was forced to form a wartime coalition government with the
Conservatives, who demanded the resignation of Churchill. While Churchill became a scapegoat for
the failure, while he did play some part in it, everyone had seem to forgotten the roles of Asquith,
Kitchener, and everyone else involved in the planning of this military disaster. While he heavily
mourned the loss of his position, Churchill moved on. He journeyed to France, intent on returning to
his soldier days. Sir John French offered him the comfort post of an aid or a commander of a brigade
at the front. Churchill chose the second option, but only after he gained experience beforehand. He
then chose to be assigned to the Grenadier Guards, Second Battalion. This was his first true
experience with the horrors of trench warfare. The unit was eventually withdrawn and Churchill
expected to get command of a brigade. Asquith later crushes this, afraid of the consequences of giving

Analysis of The Brown vs. Education Case and The Little...
A negro baby had only half the chance of completing high school and only a third of the chance to
complete college as a white baby that was born at the same time and place (Hubert). Kids were treated
differently by color in schools in the 1960 s; Brown vs. Education and Little Rock Nine are two
examples. There are many more examples of how kids were treated in the 1960 s but these are the
most known and they show how people were treated. In the North most public schools were not
segregated and in the South they were very segregated, very racist, and had segregated public schools.
People were rioting and fighting for the freedom that America had promised them. Black parents

It wasn t just schools that got hit by the segregation; it was everything, water fountains, stores, even
toilets. The hatred of black people was widespread. It was universally; even some black people started
hating themselves for their skin color. There were two psychologists that did a study on children and
they had picked some white kids and some black kids and given two dolls a white one and a black
one. The psychologists would watch and take notes on how the kids would treat the dolls, their studied
showed that the white doll were well kept, clean and the one that was taken care of. The black doll on
the other hand was tossed away and forgotten; the kids wanted to take care of the white baby doll and
didn t care about that black one. The psychologist urged that the kid were being deprived of self
respect from segregation and that it invited their learning ability. The case won, and made it so all
public schools had to desegregate. But people didn t like the decision that was made and fought back.
The case seemed that did not succeed in completely desegregating public schools, the case did get
some schools to desegregate but not all in the United States in the 1960 s. The parents had gotten their
wishes and their kids could go to an all white public school. But for the kids the fight had just started,

Essay about The Once and Future King
The Once and Future King, or King Arthur, is a legend that is, despite its age, known by all. Everyone
has heard of King Arthur and his loyal knights that make up the Round Table, but the rest of the
famous legend is less known. If asked about Arthur s parentage or birthplace, most people would not
know. How many people can name off Arthur s knights? Everyone knows Arthur s name, but the
details are less defined. Arthurian legend has many parts, the first being how Arthur came into being,
then the most well known part of the legend, but there is also his famous knights, the possibility of a
historical Arthur, and how the legend has evolved over the ages. One thing that is unique about the

The most widely accepted myth says that Arthur wins acknowledgement as king by pulling a sword
from a stone, after which Merlin reveals Arthur s true parentage. Despite his young age, Arthur proves
to be an able warrior and a noble king and manages to push the Saxon invaders out of Britain. Arthur
possessed the sword Excalibur, which was given to him by the inscrutable Lady of the Lake. Arthur
surrounded himself with loyal followers that became known as the Knights of the Round Table. Like
every good legend, Arthur had a nemesis, his sister Morgan le Fay. Morgan le Fay is usually an evil
sorceress who spends her time attempting to steal Arthur s throne for her and her lover. Mordred, or
Modred, is another enemy of Arthur s. Mordred is either Arthur s son or nephew by his sister
Morgawse. Mordred seizes Arthur s throne whilst he is away and in ultimately slain by Arthur, but not
before fatally wounding the king. Arthur is then said to have retreated to Avalon, where he waits to
once again take his place as king, earning him the title the Once and Future King. Arthur s knights
were his most trusted friends and family, but ironically, he is betrayed by the best of them. The most
reputed of Arthur s knights are Sir Lancelot and Sir Tristram. Sir Lancelot was the leader of the
Knights of the Round Table and Arthur s most trusted friend, but he was involved in an illicit love
affair. This affair was with Arthur s

Why Is Mary Todd Lincoln Crazy
While there is much to be said about Mary Todd Lincoln, she is hardly mentioned because most of the
focus is on her husband. Her sanity has been questioned several times by historians. While she did
struggle with some emotional and mental health issues, she was not crazy. To prove this, it is
important to understand her childhood and upbringing, as well as any conditions she suffered from.
Next it is crucial to examine her life at the White House, especially since it was during such a tense
period in American history. Finally, one must consider the case against her that was presented by her
own son who deemed her crazy and sent her to Bellevue Place, a mental hospital. I will dive into all
these topics and sum it all up in my concluding paragraph. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Her own son, Robert, requested the trial after what he said was a difficult decision which he said was
making him anxious. He also seemed to think after Mary s condition that she was happy in the
asylum. During the trial itself, while there were doctors that testified against her, none of them were
actually mental health specialists. In fact, none of them even attempted to diagnose her with mental
disorders during the trial, which makes sense knowing that none of them were certified to do so. They
all called her crazy and moved on. Nonetheless, she was declared insane and sent to an asylum called
Bellevue Place, where she arrived on May 20, 1875. Unlike other patients at Bellevue, Mary
continued to have a semi normal life during her stay; she was allowed to walk around freely instead of
being confined to her room, which certainly would not have happened if she was crazy. She was right
enough in mind at least to help orchestrate her release only four months after she d been admitted, a
feat that would be nearly impossible to accomplish if she were truly insane. All of this further proves

approach.16 1 2 A priori each variable is of equal weight in creating natural groups. Overall similarity
between any two firms is a function of their individual similarities in each of the characters by which
they are being compared. Distinct groups may be recognised because the correlation of characters will
differ between groups. In effect, each natural strategic group should demonstrate a different pattern of

Persuasive Essay About White Water Rafting
An hour in and I absolutely regret my decision to go white water rafting. I went on vacation with my
boyfriend Mitchell s family to Colorado. We stayed in a large condo that was located in Colorado
Springs. We had places to go every day and today we decided to go white water rafting. There was
eight of us that went, Gene, Lori, Andrew, Mitchell, Shane, Jenna, Trenna, and I. It was an early
morning, we had to get up at 6:00 am to drive to Royal Gorge Rafting. We packed into the minivan we
rented and started the long drive.
We got to Royal Gorge Rafting and I was beyond excited. We got all of our gear on, helmet, lifejacket,
and water shoes, and were ready to go. You had to take a yellow school bus, which smelled like old
leather, to get to the Arkansas river. My group and four other groups piled into the bus. When we got
to the river, the river guides explained what would happen if we fell out of the raft. They also
explained how to get people out of the river if it were to happen. I never thought I would have to
worry about falling out. We stepped in the raft and started drifting down the river when Shane
discovered water was leaking and there was bubbling coming from the side of the raft. We discovered
there was a hole in the side and Lori started freaking out like it was the end of the world. Our raft
guide sealed the hole with duck tape and we continued on down the river. The river split into two

A Debate On God s Revelation Of God
We must as Gods people stand against the compromise of reinterpreting Genesis to fit in evolution and
millions of years, which undermines biblical authority. Ultimately, what s at stake in this debate is
more than just a magic number of years. This debate s significance centers on God s revelation of
Himself in Scripture and whether Scripture is relevant today or not. This issue has only become a
debate in the last couple hundred years. Before the Enlightenment, people in Western cultures
accepted the young earth view because the scriptural account of creation was interpreted literally. Now
ideas crashing with other ideas, Hebrew words are being tossed and turned. Moreover with the
continued cross examining of Scripture and with the new discoveries made in science, Christian have
begun to question whether or not the earth is young or old? The worst fall out of the argument has
been division in the body of Christ, were many brothers and sisters have held so tightly to their views
causing disunity within the church. Many people now feel that they must choose between science and
sola scriptura. Actually, the choice is not between science and Scripture. A young earth stance can be
both science and Scripture and has more credibility than an old earth because of radioactive testing
has proved to be unreliable and history has been in constant support of young earth until the past 200

Inferno is a poem (literature) that suggests the descriptions via language. However, propaganda by
North Korea is a visual artwork that depicts via images. This difference brings a huge difference in
perceiving information from the artwork. However, considering that the Inferno had an extensive use
of all senses in descriptions, Inferno can be considered as the part of showing instead of telling.

The fear brought from Inferno inherits itself within the individual and religion. The fear of hell is
solely dependent upon oneself or religion. For instance, throughout the Inferno, Dante is trying to
understand what he had done in his life. He tries to reach the salvation as he takes a look at the hell.
The fear of death and beyond death is solely dependent to the person who committed the sins. The
religion clearly explains the procedure by describing the eternal suffering in the blazes. Therefore, if
the person tries hard enough to overcome the fear of death, it is possible to overcome the fear of the
margin, Unlike the fear of hell which was originally within the individual and religion, the fear
brought from the propaganda is based on the other individual and politics. The system does not allow
people to overcome the fear from the propaganda. Instead, people reinforce the fear in order to utilize
the negative emotion to make people obedient. Therefore, the fear is mostly dependent on the other

Teenage Abortion Essay examples
Teenage Women, Abortion and Law
Abortion has always been a very controversial issue. This can be due to the fact that people have
different beliefs that are emphasized by their own religion and set of moral values. Many people
believe that abortion is wrong, but they believe that is it only wrong under certain circumstances. This
could be true, but is it more right to kill for a specific reason than to just do it because you made an
irresponsible decision? Because of the wide spectrum of religion and various moral beliefs, there will
never be a right or wrong answer to abortion.

Many states have enacted, or are considering, laws that restrict teenagers access to abortion by
requiring parental involvement in the abortion decision. Such laws include:
„X Parental notification laws that require medical personnel to notify a minor s parent(s) of her
intention to obtain an abortion;
„X Parental consent laws that require medical personnel to obtain written permission from the
parent(s) before performing an abortion;
„X Almost all of the parental notification and consent laws have judicial bypass options that allow a
teen who feels she cannot involve her parent(s) to get a judge s permission to proceed with her
abortion. Some states allow a professional counseling instead of parental involvement.
Fact: Restrictive abortion laws may worsen family communication rather than promote it.
Abortion providers encourage teenagers to tell a parent or another important family member about
their plans, and most teens do. Even without state laws, one or both parents of 61% of minors know
about their daughters abortions. The younger the teen, the higher the likelihood that she has told her
mother about the situation.
Those young women who do not or cannot tell their parents, however, often have important reasons
such as a family history of alcoholism, emotional or physical abuse, or incest. To involve such parents
could invite further abuse of the teenager and other family members.

ELUDICATION John Grisham s characters Michael Brock and Mordecia Green worked not only as
attorneys for the homeless but also as social workers too. Throughout The Street Lawyer Michael and
Mordecia counseled each individual to gain a knowledge of what their lives were before they became
homeless and why they have become homeless. Most lawyers would not take the time find out if
whether or not their client had a place to sleep or food to eat the night before. Many lawyers would not
offer their services free of charge. Michael and Mordecia worked as lawyers as well as social workers.
Each day Michael and Mordecia traveled to a local homeless shelter to interview potential clients and
help them with whatever they needed. Most of their clients were generally homeless people or
individuals who were laid off from their job recently. The two helped these individuals fill out
government forms, obtain job applications, and sometimes a rehab center for those who were addicted
to drugs and alcohol. At times some clients could not be helped but Michael and Mordecia provided
their counseling service as a means of help. Some individuals only needed some to talk to about what
was going on in their life at that time. He wants his readers to see the similarities between social
workers and attorneys. His examples with Michael and Mordecia with their clients express key
elements in the career of a social worker. EVALUATION/CONCLUSION The Street Lawyer by John

Bo Jackson Hero Essay
Bo Jackson was a great and well known athlete, participating in both football and baseball. Everyone
knew his name, starting during his childhood and carrying on through his adulthood. He started as a
poor child, but ended up in the big leagues, both concerning money and fame. He was a man of
unbelievable strength, but people were awed by his power. Bo Jackson is an epic hero because he is a
national hero, has been given strength from God and is a character filled with good, rather than evil.
No matter when or where Bo Jackson went, everyone knew who he was. As a child, many children
grew to be afraid of Jackson because he would always win at throwing crabapples. Jackson was
known for throwing the crabapples, and sometimes rocks, as hard as he could. He usually ended up
hurting another child or breaking a window or even a screen door. Many children knew who Bo was
because of these instances. As Jackson grew older, he became famous for his athletic ability. He ...

length of a football field to score a touchdown, with other players barely able to keep up with him.
The last example is when Jackson was running to catch a baseball that was about to be a home run,

he starts to love the job, starts to love working hard toward the goal of beating the other barge by
taking on more passengers than them. It gives him confidence and self satisfaction when he sees
something that he?s worked hard on grow and flourish. He loves the barge as he shows when he says ?
but you can?t sell the barge. It?s too important!? after he heard the news that Skip and Joy were giving

importantly a connection with Skip and the Duncan family, including Justine. Not that he will loose
this connection he may think that it won?t be as strong as it was before. At the beginning, Carl couldn?

Rivers In Siddhartha
He once asked him, Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as
time? A bright smile stretched over Vasudeva s face. Yes, Siddhartha, he said. Is this what you mean?
That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the
ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for
it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse (106 107) The river, in the book Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, is a

Rivers can be used as symbols of time because they will change the landscape and carve lines and
grooves in dirt and rock, similar to the way time will carve lines of age onto a face. Further, time,
specifically in novels that deal with scifi or fantasy, and time travel, can be referred to as the time
stream, assuming or implicating that time is fluid and can change. This lines up with the Buddhist
perspective of time, where time is a cycle, and not linear in the way we consider it to be. From a
Buddhist perspective, the river can symbolize several ideas. One, the river is everywhere all at once.
The river is simultaneously in the middle of the woods, at the mouth, and at the source, this mirrors
the enlightened version of Buddhist time. The buddha, after he achieved enlightenment could recall all
of his past lives, for the Buddha, he existed in all of the them, at the same time. The river is also a
cycle, this could symbolize both the cycle of rebirth, the cycle of life. The buddhist belief is that if you
do not reach enlightenment you are reborn again, in cycle, over and over again until you do reach
enlightenment, just like the water cycles through the river, into the ocean, and eventually, back
through the river. It could also symbolize the cycle of life, from infancy to death. This particular
interpretation is further supported with the list of, ...at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at
the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains... . At each item or place stands for a time in
Siddhartha s life. At the source, would be his birth, similarly at the mouth would be his death. The
waterfall is often considered beautiful and luxurious, so that would be Siddhartha s time living an
opulent life. At the ferry, would represent all the times Siddhartha encountered the ferry, but
particularly when it is helping him gain knowledge of the

The Bust Of Carol Janeway
The Bust of Carol Janeway (1943) is a bronze sculpture of an abstracted female half figure with a long
facial expression. Her head is tilted to the right and her face is pointed towards the ground. Only the
right side of her face can be recognized as a female head. The back left side of her head has been
whipped out only showing her hair and is facing the viewer. The front left side of her head is flat and
shows the nose, left eye, and part of the hair. The right eyeball is rolled up into the lids, but an eyeball
is still shown. The left eye is replaced by a flat surface with a pointed protruding eyebrow. The harsh
line on the eyebrow flattens at the base of the nose and travels down the right side of her face,
outlining the nose. She has curly hair that is pulled back into a layered bun. She has a chin that comes
to a point at the bottom. The left side of her face is separated from her chin with a sharp line the
follows her jaw line. Her neck is irregularly long and thick. It is about the same width as her head. Her
shoulders are broad and uneven to each other. They are rested to look as if the figure has just let out a
sigh. The right shoulder is flat of on the outer side and the left shoulder is rounded. Her left arm stops
a little past her forearm on the wooden base. Her right arm is about double the length of her torso and
is curled to her chest. In her right hand she holds the pendant of a necklace between her thumb and

A Motley Crew in American Revolution 1 Essay
A Motley Crew in the American Revolution Vectors of Revolution
In the chapter A Motley Crew in the American Revolution authors Peter Linebaugh and Marcus
Rediker imply that sailor, slave and labor revolts set the stage for the American Revolution.
Throughout this chapter of the book The Many Headed Hydra the authors listed and cited historical
facts to support their claim that a Motley Crew (multiethnic, multiracial and organized group of people
with a common goal) not just inspired America Revolution but would later transport revolutionary
ideas across the Atlantic and influence revolts in England, France, Africa and Caribbean islands. The
authors contend that sailors and slaves, who were defeated in America and thus ... Show more content

They created problems throughout the Caribbean. The authors cited Lord Balcarres, governor of
Jamaica, who wrote: Here was a refuge for revolutionaries and a site for future insurrection, a place
that might in a moment ... be laid in ashes. These revolutionaries created a political shift in slave
societies and set the stage for Haitian Revolution. Linebaugh and Rediker write that a third vector of
revolution went east toward abolitionist movement in England. The authors convincingly supported
their claim by examining the work of Granville Sharp, Thomas Clarkson and the life of Olaudah
Equiano. Sharp, who opposed impressments in American Revolution, published the horrors on the
board of the slave ship Zong. Equiano told him that a captain of the ship threw 132 slaves overboard
to preserve supplies and later tried to collect insurance money for the dead. Sharp also worked on
founding a free state of Sierra Leone in 1786, and served on the Committee for Effecting the Abolition
of Slave Trade. Clarkson collected evidence about slave trade through informants (sailors and former
slaves) in ports of Liverpool, Bristol and London. But the connection of sailors to the abolitionist
movement, the authors write, was best articulated through the life of Olaudah Equiano. Enslaved in
West Africa, he was a witness of horrifying events constantly happening

Essay on Genetics Are the Main Cause of Psychopathy
One of the things about these kids is that they don t pay attention to the deep emotions or the deep
concerns of other people. They can just look at it in the face and go whatever and move on. (Malcolm)
Whereas some may argue that psychopaths are developed more from their environment, the
characteristic traits and neurological data prove genetics are the main cause of psychopathy.
Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by a constellation of interpersonal, affective and
behavioral characteristics. (Harc, 1998) There are many personality traits that accompany those who
are considered to be a psychopath. High levels of aggression or delinquency, and antisocial behaviors
are all seen in youth with personalities correlating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Subsequent studies in youth with conduct disorder show that the parents socialization with their
children has less of an affect upon the development of conduct problems, suggesting more genetic
significance in youth who are notably callous. (Dolan). Mental retardation, lower intelligence and
inability to learn basic communication and language skills have been reported in youth considered
psychopathic. Also reported is the severe psychopathy occurring from the youths parents. These
parents have issues such as extreme maladjustment, chronic alcoholism, and many incarcerations for
criminal acts. (Bezdjian). In order to confirm, tests have been made to assess psychopathic traits in
youth. These tests have been recreated from the adult versions. The psychopathy checklist is a scale
test used for youth ages thirteen to eighteen, it has the same factor structure as the adult PCL R test
from which it was created and focuses on interpersonal aspects of personality and chronic antisocial
structure. The psychopathy screening device is used for youth ages six to twelve, and is completed by
teachers or parents for validity reasons. The most widely used test is the youth psychopathic traits
inventory, which is a self report of fifty items which focus on core personality correlations of youth
and psychopaths. (Dolan).
Now researchers are focusing more on theories of the neurobiological basis of psychopathy. The two

In today s society, a common definition of authority is expressed though great respect. However, these
authoritative figures earn their title through extensive training and experience that give citizens a

It also symbolizes the blood that the martyrs have shed in the history of the rastas. The yellow
represents the wealth of the homeland. Green represents the beauty and vegetation of Ethiopia, their

Its use is written in the bible in scriptures saying He causeth the grass for the cattle and herb for the
services of man (Psalms 104:14), . . . thou shalt eat the herb of the field (Genesis 3:18) and . . . eat
every herb of the land (Exodus 10:12). The use of this herb is very extensive among Rastas not only
for relaxation, but for spiritual and medical purposes. On the other hand, Islam originated in the
seventh century when the message was revealed to the holy prophet Muhammad. Although, the

How Did Architecture Influence Greek Architecture
The Romans took their principles and standards from the Greek architecture and used new techniques
and materials to construct their buildings. They were greatly influenced by the Greek orders especially
the Corinthian order which can be seen in their public buildings. The Roman architects were great
creators as they merged their magnificent designs with the Greek techniques to manufacture new
constructions like circuses, aqueducts, thermae and amphitheaters. These constructions were funded
by the Roman states which ensured the survival of these buildings to this day (Cartwright, 2013). The
Roman amphitheater was a large building which included fake nautical battles, animal hunts and
gladiator fights. It became a famous landmark of the Roman civilization. The amphitheaters were built
in oval shapes to provide a good view for the audience in any seat. The first constructions used rock

The aqueduct was more like a bridge with single, double or triple arcades of arches to transport water
from part to another which didn t have enough water supplies for drinking fountains and crops. The

mastered the building technique of the aqueducts, and as a result, the most famous aqueducts were the
Roman ones. They didn t use aqueducts only for drinking and watering crops, but also supplied villas,
public baths and fountains with water. Also, the water is freshened by pumping it through a system of
small waterfalls. More importantly, the aqueducts affected the Roman agriculture and was used to
water the lands. For example, the Pont du Gard in France was forty nine meters high, and the aqueduct
of Segovia measured twenty eight meters high. Both aqueducts survive to this day, which in turn

There was more of an economic effect of the global flow of silver from 1570 1750 than socially. It
greatly affected the trade world because China would only trade in return for silver. It also made South
America a major part of the world trade system. The flow of silver caused inflation. Inflation happens
when the price rises faster than the wages. Silver also widened the gap of class sizes in the Ming
Dynasty.
A major economic effect of the flow of silver was changing the trade world. Spain had issues since so
much of their primary good traded was brought out to be traded. China changed who they traded with
based on who had silver. Tomas de Mercado wrote a book called Manual of Deals and Contracts. He

Washing A Car Analysis
Every Sunday morning until the weather drops below freezing and my parents do not let me use the
hose, I wash my car. This may seem like an ordinary job to some, but to me washing a car requires a

Summary Of Emily s Pov
Emily s POV
All I want in this worlds is for Dan to be happy. For him not to feel the despair. He hasn t talked to me
in two years, and I miss him everyday. Why couldn t I be there for him? Why couldn t I see the signs?
They were so obvious....I just want another chance!
I heard there was a new kid coming today maybe he can help Dan, maybe he can make him feel loved
again.
Phil s POV
I walk in with my heart rate skyrocketing, and stomach is churning. It s a new start to my sophomore
year. That is what I need, a place where no one knows me or what I have done. I walk into the office
to get my locker number and schedule. Hi, I, uh am here for my schedule. The lady at the desk gave
me a strange look Oh you re the new kid Philip right? . I nodded, I hate when people call me Philip it
makes me sound like an old guy, like old people are nice but I m not old, now I feel bad for old
people. Alright deary here you go. She smiles while handing me my combo and schedule. Thank you.
I walk out and head to the my first class. I walked to my class, I was standing in front of the door to
scared to open it, I m just so nervous what if no one likes me. I decided to open it and within a second
all eyes were on me, but only one stood out. They belonged to this boy who had a fringe like mine and
eyes that can make anyone melt. Class this is the new student Philip the teacher said taking my
attention off the boy, Oh ya hi, but I go by phil not Philip, sorry it just sounds like a

Comparing Hamlet And The Godfather
Hamlet Essay Hamlet a play written by William Shakespeare is solely revolved around the seeking
justice. Hamlet is a tragic play, which involves the Prince of Denmark (Hamlet) seeking revenge for
his father s death. Hamlet was published in the early sixteen hundred s, and after that there has been a
lot of storylines of movies, books, and TV shows that are derived from the play. One of the most
similar pieces of work to Hamlet is The Godfather the movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola in
1972. The Godfather is a prominent crime film about a war hero of World War 2 named Michael
Corleone, who openly volunteered to take control of his father s (Vito Corleone) mafia business, after
the death of his father and his older brother (Sonny ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a meeting with Vito, Sollozzo says, Don Corleone, I need a man who has powerful friends. I need a
million dollars in cash. I need, Don Corleone those politicians you carry in your pocket, like so many
nickels and dimes. After seeing his father condition Michael steps up and without rethinking decides
to organize a fake meeting with Sollozzo where he will kill him. After, a few minutes into their
meeting Michael Corleone excuses himself to go to the restroom and returns with a pistol and drills
two bullets right on his head. In contrast, Hamlet uses incredible amounts of procrastination to kill his
father s murderer Claudius. Topchayan also notes, also notices the flaw of the main character, and has
her own theory of the reason what Hamlet did. In her article, she shows the trouble, the impracticality,
of a person who is not a natural born killer to commit murder to seek his revenge. (281 288) Despite,
unnatural capability Hamlet still kills King Claudius by stabbing him with a poisonous sword and
gagging him with a poisonous beverage. Hamlet and Michael Corleone both became very isolated and
started being dishonest to their lovers as their plot to killing the villain evolved. Ophelia, was the lover
of Prince Hamlet, daughter of Polonius, and the sister of Laertes had a very obedient soul. In the very
beginning of the play, Hamlet becomes aware about his father s death and quickly dissolves

  • 2. Ethical Issues, Social Media Influence, and Medical... Introduction The iPhone 5 C model has incorporated multiple technologies that could affect the current global atmosphere differently. For instance, the fact that this product can connect to multiple medical gadgets could alter the current medical practices. In addition, its production resulted in ethical issues that could affect its future users and non users. This is because most of the ethical issues affect the workers (who could be prospective iPhone 5 C users). Another important aspect to note is that the social media has had an influence on the publicity of the item. This is because of it had colors such as blue yellow, and pink. Medical Effects of the iPhone 5 C The iPhone 5 C model uses the iOS 7 system, which is accompanied by medical concerns. This technology makes the screen appear to be in layers in addition to a zooming feature than occurs when switching between applications. According to Bashak (2013), this technology has been reported to cause problems analogous to carsickness. This type of sickness is called vertigo that occurs when problematic cases occur in the inner ear or eye. It could be described as what one perceives to be different from the motion in the inner ear senses. The author further asserts that Apple fans have had trouble from the transition involving applications and the home screen. The main reason for this discomfort is the new parallax innovation that forces the screen background to move back and forth. Since the iOS 7 is preinstalled in the model, it becomes a major medical concern that must be checked. Another medical concern regarding the iPhone 5 C model is about the smaller dock, which could lead to an increased transition in Bluetooth technology (in the medical industry). In September 2013, Apple executive announced that the iPhone 5 C models would apply 30 pin connectors to 8 pin connectors called ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Christian Worldview The Christian Worldview is very widely known in today s society. This religion has many strong beliefs about the creation of the world and what waits for believers in the afterlife. Psalms 111:10 gives a good idea of the foundation of the Christian worldview by saying. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. (New International Version). The Christian worldview has very specific beliefs and expectations in God, humanity, Jesus and Restoration. According to the Christian Worldview, God is to be feared, known, and loved as the sovereign creator whom all should glory, honor, and praise. God is believed to have many characteristics, included but not limited to being unchanging, all powerful, all knowing, good, loving, jealous, faithful, and holy. These characteristics are believed to be true because they are seen through his eternal nature,, his omnipotence and his goodness (DiVincenzo, 2014). In Romans 1:20, the Holy Bible says, For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, aver since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. God is also the first person in the Trinity, the belief that there is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Kilby, 2011). Another belief of the Christian worldview is that God is the creator of all things; however, distinct from his creation. The first ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to zirin, although no one knows for sure if Winston is a rapist, many now know how Florida State University handled the situation. During the early 1800s settlers began to explore new territory in the New World looking for new opportunities. Through the pioneer journeys of Lewis and Clark a route through America was discovered that would take settlers to new land in the Pacific Northwest portion of the country. To reach the new land pioneers, such as I, had to travel down what became known as the Oregon Trail. Through the Oregon Trail the expansion of the West began but to get to this new ... We were required to wear long dresses with long sleeves in oppressive heat and care for all of the needs of the men and children as well as tend to the sick. There was a major risk to the female pioneer of losing our husbands or even our children to illness or accidents along the Oregon Trail. If the food supply ran short the men would hunt for food, use supplies meant for our new homes, or die of starvation. Illnesses, such as Typhoid and cholera, were common and would spread through the wagon trains creating more work for us women (Bledsoe, 1984). The overworked women would in turn become more vulnerable to becoming sick and perishing. Women who gave birth while on the Oregon Trail faced vast difficulty and in many cases the female pioneer or the new born would die. • 8. The Battle Of Churchill As A Scapegoat For The Failure As history unfolded, the Dardanelles offensive failed, but the ground invasion plans for Gallipoli went ahead as planned. By the end of the campaign, massive amounts of lives had been lost on the British side, and it was a decisive failure. Dardanelles and Gallipoli were very much a prime example of something Churchill would do over and over again: see positives, but not negatives or consequences, only possibilities. These campaigns were the end of Churchill politically for a time, along with the Asquith government. Asquith was forced to form a wartime coalition government with the Conservatives, who demanded the resignation of Churchill. While Churchill became a scapegoat for the failure, while he did play some part in it, everyone had seem to forgotten the roles of Asquith, Kitchener, and everyone else involved in the planning of this military disaster. While he heavily mourned the loss of his position, Churchill moved on. He journeyed to France, intent on returning to his soldier days. Sir John French offered him the comfort post of an aid or a commander of a brigade at the front. Churchill chose the second option, but only after he gained experience beforehand. He then chose to be assigned to the Grenadier Guards, Second Battalion. This was his first true experience with the horrors of trench warfare. The unit was eventually withdrawn and Churchill expected to get command of a brigade. Asquith later crushes this, afraid of the consequences of giving the still despised ... The psychologists would watch and take notes on how the kids would treat the dolls, their studied showed that the white doll were well kept, clean and the one that was taken care of. The black doll on the other hand was tossed away and forgotten; the kids wanted to take care of the white baby doll and didn t care about that black one. The psychologist urged that the kid were being deprived of self respect from segregation and that it invited their learning ability. Her sanity has been questioned several times by historians. While she did struggle with some emotional and mental health issues, she was not crazy. To prove this, it is important to understand her childhood and upbringing, as well as any conditions she suffered from. Next it is crucial to examine her life at the White House, especially since it was during such a tense period in American history. Finally, one must consider the case against her that was presented by her own son who deemed her crazy and sent her to Bellevue Place, a mental hospital. I will dive into all these topics and sum it all up in my concluding paragraph. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, none of them even attempted to diagnose her with mental disorders during the trial, which makes sense knowing that none of them were certified to do so. They all called her crazy and moved on. Nonetheless, she was declared insane and sent to an asylum called Bellevue Place, where she arrived on May 20, 1875. Unlike other patients at Bellevue, Mary continued to have a semi normal life during her stay; she was allowed to walk around freely instead of being confined to her room, which certainly would not have happened if she was crazy. ELUDICATION John Grisham s characters Michael Brock and Mordecia Green worked not only as attorneys for the homeless but also as social workers too. Throughout The Street Lawyer Michael and Mordecia counseled each individual to gain a knowledge of what their lives were before they became homeless and why they have become homeless. Most lawyers would not take the time find out if whether or not their client had a place to sleep or food to eat the night before. Many lawyers would not offer their services free of charge. Michael and Mordecia worked as lawyers as well as social workers. Each day Michael and Mordecia traveled to a local homeless shelter to interview potential clients and help them with whatever they needed. Most of their clients were generally homeless people or individuals who were laid off from their job recently. The two helped these individuals fill out government forms, obtain job applications, and sometimes a rehab center for those who were addicted to drugs and alcohol. At times some clients could not be helped but Michael and Mordecia provided their counseling service as a means of help. Some individuals only needed some to talk to about what was going on in their life at that time. He wants his readers to see the similarities between social workers and attorneys. His examples with Michael and Mordecia with their clients express key elements in the career of a social worker. EVALUATION/CONCLUSION The Street Lawyer by John Grisham ... Rivers can be used as symbols of time because they will change the landscape and carve lines and grooves in dirt and rock, similar to the way time will carve lines of age onto a face. Further, time, specifically in novels that deal with scifi or fantasy, and time travel, can be referred to as the time stream, assuming or implicating that time is fluid and can change. This lines up with the Buddhist perspective of time, where time is a cycle, and not linear in the way we consider it to be. From a Buddhist perspective, the river can symbolize several ideas. One, the river is everywhere all at once. The river is simultaneously in the middle of the woods, at the mouth, and at the source, this mirrors the enlightened version of Buddhist time. The buddha, after he achieved enlightenment could recall all of his past lives, for the Buddha, he existed in all of the them, at the same time.
