This document discusses AIA Korea's implementation of an AI-enabled claims management system to improve the claims experience. Key points:
- Previously, submitting claims involved filling out lengthy paper forms and collecting documents, resulting in slow processing times.
- The new system uses optical character recognition and machine learning to automatically extract data from claim documents submitted through a mobile app, assess claims for payment in under 25 minutes, and flag any high-risk claims.
- Testing showed the AI system achieved a 92% straight-through processing rate for claims and a 99.7% precision rate while reducing potential financial leakage to 0.3%. Customers have provided very positive feedback on the faster and simpler claims experience.
1) The document discusses an AI solution developed by AIA to automate the health insurance claims process and improve the customer experience.

Seecure aimed to provide personalized security solutions for security-conscious women through a wearable camera product. However, hypothesis testing revealed key issues: the value proposition did not effectively alleviate customers' security pains; customers were unfamiliar with the product and unwilling to pay the proposed price; and defining the target customer segment of "security-conscious professional women" proved challenging. Based on feedback, the company will explore pivoting to other customer segments like joggers and law enforcement.
Challenges in Insurance: Customer Clarity in ClaimsPrecisely
In insurance, the claims process and risk of customer churn always go hand in hand. According to Forrester, more than 30% of customers who endured a bad claims experience switched insurers within one year of the incident. This churn due to declining loyalty and poor customer experiences can represent as much as $470 billion in Life, Property, and Casualty premiums globally. Not to mention the cost to your staff and time spent working through claims inquiries.
What if there was a way to reduce costs, to reduce second and subsequent calls to your claims center, and to drive digital adoption…all while increasing your claimant’s satisfaction throughout the experience?
Watch our on-demand webinar as we discuss some of today’s toughest challenges in the insurance industry.
IRJET- Asset Management System with Auditing Network Pc's using CubaIRJET Journal
The document describes a proposed automated motor insurance claim assessment and approval system using robotic process automation (RPA). The system would automate the manual process currently used, reducing errors, time, and labor costs. It would validate claim requests against rules, notify clients by email of approval status, and approve requests without human intervention. The system consists of modules to fetch policy data from a database, validate claims using assessment rules, notify clients by email, and approve validated claims. It aims to make the insurance claim process more efficient.
Artificial intelligence (AI) currently being used by insurance companies has failed to remove gender bias from the profession’s claims, underwriting and marketing processes.
A Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) report tells insurers they must tackle these gender biases. The report found that the datasets used to train the algorithms which support AI systems are rooted in outdated gender concepts. Algorithms learn by being trained on historic data but the report notes more and more of that data is now unstructured, coming from text, audio, video and sensors.
Yet the report warns embedded in that historic data are decisions based upon historic biases, particularly around gender. The report concluded insurance firms need to prepare a structured response to this issue, starting with visible leadership on tackling gender bias in AI.

Pete Wassell (Augmate Corportation) Security in the Enterprise Smart GlassesAugmentedWorldExpo
While companies have made significant strides with mobile device security software on smart phones and tablets, the wearables category is a different story. Personal data, customer data, and sensitive corporate information is at risk with data leaks exposed at multiple end points. There are a number of factors contributing to this situation that we will look at in this presentation as well as best practices to address them. The miniaturization of sensors and cameras and unprecedented connectivity have created a scenario where data can be captured and stored very easily, and at times unwittingly, by users. Lack of policies and careless use of enterprise wearables can be more of a security risk than cyber criminals. The trend of this problem will likely get worse, market forecasts show that IoT devices and wearables will surpass volumes of mobile devices over the next few years. The great promise and benefits of these devices coupled with privacy and security concerns make this technology a double edge sword.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

7. 90-day rule violation
in California WC claims
Mike reported a knee
injury, but it's unclear
whether it occurred in the
office or during an off-site
task
He submitted all relevant
incident reports and medical
records within the required
timeframe
Amidst the ambiguity of the
accident's location, the
insurer exceeds California's
90-day rule without a verdict
Suspecting a non-work-related injury, the
insurer rejects the claim, leading to
litigation—avoidable with clear AI-
generated incident analysis
Intelligent discrepancy detection finds
the inconsistencies between logs and
the injury reports highlighting a clear
timeline of events.
Anomaly checked and reported in Gen AI
summary well ahead of the 90-day
deadline.
• No litigation
• No issues
• Quick resolution

8. safety equipment violation
in Florida WC claims
James, a machine operator in a
Tampa-based manufacturing plant,
sustains a hand injury while
operating machinery.
At the time of the incident, James was not wearing the
required safety gloves mandated for machine operation, a
fact not immediately apparent in the initial claim
documentation.
Claim approved without any reduction due to failure
to wear prescribed safety equipment.
OR
Rejected after a detailed manual review of incident
footage.
Equipped with advanced image analysis capabilities, the
solution reviews surveillance footage and photos submitted
with the claim. The system identifies and highlights James's
failure to wear the prescribed safety gloves at the time of
the accident.
With insights from the AI solution, the insurer applies Florida's
provision for a 25% reduction in workers' compensation
benefits due to the non-use of safety equipment. James's
compensation is adjusted accordingly, reflecting the role his
failure to adhere to safety protocols played in the incident.

9. fraudulent claim auto-detection
Janet reports a knee injury occurring
on Monday while moving office
furniture.
Claim processing agent reviews medical reports and
checks against injury claim report and timelines.
After a long investigation reveals the injury occurred
on Saturday at a local bar during a dance, leading
to the denial of the fraudulent claim and saving the
insurer from a wrongful payout
Generative AI cross-references the injury claim with the
medical report, flagging any discrepancy in the injury's
timeline
