Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

Vigilância Sanitária) como uma bomba de infusão.
O pleno funcionamento de seu mecanismo hidráulico somente é
possível, quando a Válvula de Respiro presente na parte superior
de seu Gabinete esta aberta em 2 voltas.
• Ao transportar o MORPHEUS, é imprescindível manter a
Válvula de Respiro fechada para evitar vazamento de óleo.
Lembre-se de fechá-la com firmeza sempre que for desmontar o
equipamento para transporte, mas evite apertá-la demais para não
danificar a peça.

COMO SELECIONAR POSOLOGIAS
Exemplo de POSOLOGIA
As teclas com setas horizontais ◄ ► permitem mudar o cursor (um traço piscando indica a posição do cursor) entre
as janelas PROGR – VAZÃO – DOSE .
1. Com o cursor na janela PROG, use as teclas com setas verticais ▲- ▼ para escolher uma das posições entre
10 e 20 onde irá programar e gravar a POSOLOGIA desejada. No exemplo, foi escolhida a posição 10.
2. Acione a tecla com seta horizontal ◄ - ►para a direita levando o cursor para a janela VAZÃO.
3. Volte a usar as teclas com seta vertical ▲- ▼ para escolher o valor de vazão desejado. No exemplo, foi
escolhida uma vazão de 0.3 ml/min., o equivalente a 1/6 de cartucho de anestésico por minuto.
4. Volte a acionar a tecla com seta horizontal ◄ - ► para a direita levando o cursor para a janela DOSE.
5. Use novamente as teclas com setas verticais ▲- ▼ para escolher a dose desejada. No exemplo, escolheu-se a
dose 1.50 ml., equivalente a 5/6 do cartucho, ou seja, quase um cartucho inteiro.
6. Acione a tecla central do teclado GRAVAR e PRONTO! Seu programa 10 personalizado pode ser usado.

COMO PROGRAMAR A VAZÃO DE UMA POSOLOGIA – (Velocidade de Injeção)
CURSOR = Traço “_” sob o numero 3
Ao primeiro toque na tecla “ ►” no Teclado, o CURSOR que estava sendo visualizado como um traço (“_”) sob
o numero 10 na janela PROG, passa para a janela VAZÂO. Neste ponto, acionando-se as teclas “▲- ▼”, para
cima ou para baixo, aumentos e diminuições de VAZÃO entre 0.1 e 1.0 ml/min. serão expostos no Display. Para
escolher o valor desejado basta interromper os toques nas setas verticais e acionar a tecla GRAVAR que está
no centro do teclado.
A VAZÃO (Velocidade de Injeção) máxima possível disponível no MORPHEUS é de 1.0 ml/min., ou seja,
aproximadamente ½ cartucho de anestésico por minuto de injeção. Esta velocidade é considerada pela ciência
atual como a maior velocidade de injeção recomendável para aplicações anestésicas seguras.

COMO PROGRAMAR A DOSE DE UMA POSOLOGIA
CURSOR: Traço “_” sob o número 0.60
Ao segundo toque na tecla “ ►” do Teclado, o CURSOR (neste exemplo = 0.3 ml/min.) se desloca da janela
VAZÃO para a janela DOSE. Neste ponto, a cada toque em uma das teclas com setas verticais, aumentos ▲ou
diminuições ▼de DOSE de 0,05 ml em 0.05 ml serão apresentados no Display, desde 0.05 até 1.50 ml. Basta,
então, interromper os toques quando atingir o valor desejado, acionar a tecla GRAVAR que está no centro do
teclado e a sua POSOLOGIA personalizada estará pronta para ser aplicada. Esta POSOLOGIA gravada no
programa 10 poderá ser utilizada outras vezes, permanecendo gravada mesmo que o MORPHEUS seja
desligado. Entretanto, diferentemente dos programas de 1 a 9 cuja programação é fixa no MORPHEUS, as
POSOLOGIAS de 10 a 20 gravadas pelo usuário, poderão ser reprogramadas repetindo-se os passos acima .
As 11 “POSOLOGIAS” graváveis no MORPHEUS foram criadas para possibilitar a pesquisa, a customização
para pacientes especiais e a introdução de novas técnicas.
