CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
COVID-19 or the Corona Virus Disease is all over the news and has
become the most sensitive topic of this season. The World Health
Organization (WHO) has declared it a pandemic that is affecting
people all across the globe. We all are witnessing a situation which
no one amongst us would have ever thought about.
SKC World summarizes the precautionary measures that we all
need to adapt to remain safe and safeguard others around us.
If we pledge to follow these, the chances of contracting COVID-19
will become negligible, and together, we will be able to fight the
pandemic successfully.
ADOPT THESE HABITS TO ENSURE
FAMILY WELL BEING & PROPER UTILIZATION OF TIME
Wash hands regularly, maintain social
distancing, wear clean clothes, and expose
yourself to sunlight for proper intake of Vitamin
D, whenever you get the chance. Take a bath
daily with Dettol soap or body wash.
1. PERSONAL HYGIENE
Avoid traveling in public transport and touching
anything which is exposed to public usage.
Avoid public gathering and stepping out of your
homes.
2. AVOID TRAVELLING
Avoid eating or ordering food from outside, and
please stick to a home-cooked meal with
minimal spices. Avoid consuming heavy food as
it allows the body energy to focus more on
fighting infection rather than digesting food.

HOW TO RAISE IMMUNITY LEVEL
AND PROTECT OURSELVES
Avoid too much salt and spice in day-to-day food.
Consume healthy beverages such as KASHAYAM:
Ingredients – Turmeric, Tulsi (Indian Basil), Black Pepper, DalChini (Cinnamon), Laung (Clove), Elaichi(Cardamom),
Adrak (Ginger), Zeera (Cumin), Ajwain (Caraway Seeds), Saunf (Fennel Seeds), Gud (Jaggery), 5 cups of filtered water.
Recipe – Bring water to a boil and add all the ingredients. Keep simmering for 15 minutes. Store in a thermos. Keep
sipping on it for the whole day.
Food items rich in Vitamin C, such as Grapefruit, Orange,
Tangerines, Lemon, Lime, Spinach, Papaya, Kiwi, etc.
These help fight any foreign particles (virus, bacteria, etc.)
entering our body by strengthening immunity.

One of the healthiest vegetables which consist of Vitamin A, C, and E.
Garlic’s immune-boosting properties seem to come from a heavy concentration of
sulphur-containing compounds, such as Allicin.
Ginger is best for issues related to the throat. It also helps in comforting sore throat and reducing
pain. Ginger may also help in decreasing chronic pain and lowering cholesterol levels.
Supports the immune system, brain, and overall health of the nervous system. Sunlight, Yogurt,
Mushrooms, Cheese, etc. are potent sources of Vitamin D. Remember to expose yourself to
sunlight whenever possible.
12-15 almonds serving, which is equivalent of 46 whole, shelled almonds can provide nearly 100
percent of the recommended daily amount of Vitamin E.
Green Tea is a good source of Amino Acids and L-thiamine, which is known to aid the production
of germ-fighting compounds in your T-cells.
Increasing the intake of Vitamins B6, C, and E. Start, including bell peppers, spinach, and
almonds in your meal.
4. TAKE CARE OF FAMILY & FRIENDS
Increase the intake of warm water, high grain foods,
carbohydrates, vitamins for boosting the immunity
of kids and senior citizens.
A well-balanced diet can certainly help in boosting
the immune system. Try to include a variety of fruits,
vegetables, whole grains, dairy products, and lean
protein in your meals. Consuming food items rich in
Omega-3 Fatty Acids not only builds up part of your
immune system but also helps you to maintain a
healthy weight.
5. DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER:
Water intake can have many positive benefits on our
immune system which include but are not limited
to aiding the digestion, preventing possible
pathogens such as viruses or bacteria from entering
the eyes, nose, and mouth. Staying hydrated helps
all the defence functions of the body to operate
properly. And individual should intake 2 litres of
water every day. Drinking 8-ounce glasses of water is
recommended to maintain a healthy weight.
6. PRIORITIZING EXERCISE
Moderate-intensity exercises can help us to
maintain a healthy immune system. However,
doing intense exercises, especially when you
are already feeling under the weather, can have
the opposite effect and lower immunity.
7. GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP
Getting enough sleep will help our body to
fight off sickness and help succeed in the
tips mentioned above. Adults must get
between 7-9 hours of sleep each night.
CONCLUSION

quantities, vitamins & nutrients can protect
the human body from different problems.
Thus, you must educate yourself regarding
the benefits of various nutrients and how they
enhance the immune system to protect the
body from the cold, flu, and any other illness.

guard out, and for yourself and your family.
You must determine that you will fight this
situation with 100 percent conviction and not
only protect yourself but everyone else around
you through the means of education and the

3. BE COMMITTED:
To your healthy routine. Make a plan for your
day and utilize the extra hours you're saving
during the WFH, opportunistically. Develop
good habits, enhance relationships, and
embrace your friends and family.
4. EVOLVE AND RISE UP:
Isolation paves the way for new discoveries,
innovations, and internal developments. Pick up
the things that you were planning to sort but did
not get the chance to resolve. Manage yourself
and your plans. Give shape to your dreams and
emotions. Plan the forthcoming years of your life
with a fresh mind. Talk to those who you have left
behind unintentionally. Strengthen yourself with
good thoughts and feelings. Nourish your soul
and body with proper time and clarity! This is the
time to gain maximum knowledge and wisdom, a
phase where the entire world is transforming their
habits and setting new trends. New energies
surround us along with the awareness that life is
more important than fighting over rights, religion,
and castes. Develop yourself and your thoughts to
the next level.
5. BE MORE ORGANIZED:
To be more organized, you need to be clearers,
thoughtful, and mindful with regards to what
you want to organize, how will you do it, and
what impact will it have on your life. Ask these
questions to yourself and for the pursuit of
self-discovery.
7. MEDITATION:
Enhance your immunity 100 times and clean your body as well as your environment. A positive vibe has the
potential of cleaning your aura and the surrounding.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it a pandemic that is affecting people all across the globe. We all are witnessing a situation which no one amongst us would have ever thought about. SKC World summarizes the precautionary measures that we all need to adapt to remain safe and safeguard others around us. Consume healthy beverages such as KASHAYAM: Ingredients – Turmeric, Tulsi (Indian Basil), Black Pepper, DalChini (Cinnamon), Laung (Clove), Elaichi(Cardamom), Adrak (Ginger), Zeera (Cumin), Ajwain (Caraway Seeds), Saunf (Fennel Seeds), Gud (Jaggery), 5 cups of filtered water. Recipe – Bring water to a boil and add all the ingredients. Keep simmering for 15 minutes. Store in a thermos. Keep sipping on it for the whole day. Food items rich in Vitamin C, such as Grapefruit, Orange, Tangerines, Lemon, Lime, Spinach, Papaya, Kiwi, etc. These help fight any foreign particles (virus, bacteria, etc.) entering our body by strengthening immunity. Garlic’s immune-boosting properties seem to come from a heavy concentration of sulphur-containing compounds, such as Allicin. Ginger is best for issues related to the throat. It also helps in comforting sore throat and reducing pain. Ginger may also help in decreasing chronic pain and lowering cholesterol levels. Supports the immune system, brain, and overall health of the nervous system. Sunlight, Yogurt, Mushrooms, Cheese, etc. are potent sources of Vitamin D. Remember to expose yourself to sunlight whenever possible. 12-15 almonds serving, which is equivalent of 46 whole, shelled almonds can provide nearly 100 percent of the recommended daily amount of Vitamin E. Green Tea is a good source of Amino Acids and L-thiamine, which is known to aid the production of germ-fighting compounds in your T-cells. Increasing the intake of Vitamins B6, C, and E. Start, including bell peppers, spinach, and almonds in your meal.

A well-balanced diet can certainly help in boosting the immune system. Try to include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy products, and lean protein in your meals. Consuming food items rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids not only builds up part of your immune system but also helps you to maintain a healthy weight. 5. DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER: Water intake can have many positive benefits on our immune system which include but are not limited to aiding the digestion, preventing possible pathogens such as viruses or bacteria from entering the eyes, nose, and mouth. Staying hydrated helps all the defence functions of the body to operate properly. And individual should intake 2 litres of water every day. Drinking 8-ounce glasses of water is recommended to maintain a healthy weight.

However, doing intense exercises, especially when you are already feeling under the weather, can have the opposite effect and lower immunity. 7. GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP Getting enough sleep will help our body to fight off sickness and help succeed in the tips mentioned above. Adults must get between 7-9 hours of sleep each night.
