8. Basic NCAA Recruiting Rules
• Coaches can begin to contact you by:
E‐mail on September 1st of your junior year in high school and can correspond through e‐mail an
unlimited number of times per week
Phone on July 1st of your senior year in high school and are limited to one phone call per week
• You can contact a coach by e‐mail or phone at any time; however, they cannot return your e‐mail or phone
call before the dates listed above.
• Just as a reminder, when we see you play, we cannot speak with you other than saying hello.
• The NCAA defines a contact as any face‐to‐face encounter between a prospective student‐athlete or
parent(s) and an institutional staff member taking place off campus. Off‐campus recruiting contacts shall
not be made with an individual or her parent(s) before July 1st following completion of her junior year of
high school.
