4. Overview
• A social network is a social relationship of a individuals or
organizations which known as "nodes“ or “links, or “connections” by
one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship,
kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, romantic
relationships, or relationships of faith and philosophy etc.
• Web 2.0 is social web, is having more social, collaborative, interactive
and responsive mode. It is democratizing media, culture and society as
well. The phrase "Web 2.0" was coined in 2003 by Dale Dougherty, a
vice-president at O'Reilly Media, and the phrase became popular in
2004.

6. What is Social Media
• Social media is interactive media for social interaction and social communication
• Generally social media refers to the use of web-based ( online ) and mobile technologies to turn
communication into interactive dialogue.
• Social media can take on many different forms, including Internet forums, blog/ weblogs, microblogging,
wiki, podcasts, photo/video blogging, rating, like and social bookmarking.
• The terminology “Web 2.0” is synonym Social Media. The culture was stated by inserting the comments
giving on a website from user levels.
• By nature of media we can catagoried the social media intro six different types:
1. Collaborative projects (e.g. Wikipedia),
2. Blogs and microblogs (e.g. Twitter)
3. Content communities (e.g. Youtube)
4. Social networking sites (e.g. Facebook)
5. Virtual game worlds (e.g. World of Warcraft)
6. Virtual social worlds (e.g. Second Life)

14. • Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to organize, store,
manage and search for bookmarks of resources online.
• The concept of shared online bookmarks dates back to April 1996 with the
launch of itList
– the features of which included public and private bookmarks.
– Within the next three years, online bookmark services became competitive,
with venture-backed companies such as Backflip, Blink, Clip2, ClickMarks,
HotLinks, and others entering the market

coined the term social bookmarking and getting it very popular from 2007.

tagging websites and searching through websites bookmarked by
other people.
• Social News. (Digg, Propeller, Reddit) Interact by voting for articles
and commenting on them.
• Social Networking. (Facebook, Hi5, Last.FM) Interact by adding
friends, commenting on profiles, joining groups and having
discussions.
• Social Photo and Video Sharing. (YouTube, Flickr) Interact by
sharing photos or videos and commenting on user submissions.
• Wikis. (Wikipedia, Wikia) Interact by adding articles and editing
existing articles.

• For users, social bookmarking can be useful as a way to access a
consolidated set of bookmarks from various computers, organize large
numbers of bookmarks, and share bookmarks with contacts.
• Libraries have found social bookmarking to be useful as an easy way to
provide lists of informative links to patrons

22. • Internet and computer technology makes use writer, user and at the
same time smart publisher. Now we can do all thing by our self by
setting in our desktop, even from spot.
• By getting all easy , we know become shallow and depends on
machine, for thinking depends on Google…..
• We need to be serious about our quality among the easy option
particularly in content production . Otherwise the good result will not
come….
• Regarding writing for web and content production we need to follow
some tips . My recommendations as follows

• Microblogging [ video presentation ] is a broadcast medium in the
form of blogging.
• A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is
typically smaller in both actual and aggregate file size.
• Microblogs "allow users to exchange small elements of content
such as short sentences, individual images, or video links".
• Some microblogging services offer features such as privacy settings,
which allow users to control who can read their microblogs, or
alternative ways of publishing entries besides the web-based
interface. These may include text messaging, instant messaging, E-mail,
or digital audio.
• The first microblogs were known as tumblelogs. The term was
coined by why the lucky stiff in a blog post on April 12, 2005, while
describing Christian Neukirchen's Anarchaia.
