2. What is Leukemia? Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow.

4. What does it mean when a cell is cancerous? When old cells die, new ones grow to replace them. Sometimes these cells mutate and change. When these cell keeps on mutating, it can create a tumor.

5. People suffered In the year 2000 around 256,000 people suffered from some type of leukemia and 209,000 died from it.
