This study examined factors that influence people's intentions and the relationship between intentions and actual behavior. The researchers found that intentions are determined by attitudes toward the behavior and subjective norms. However, the strength of the relationship between intentions and behavior depends on factors like overall attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and stability of intentions over time. When behavioral control or intentions are weak, the predictive power of intentions on behavior is reduced.
