3. Thinking about women by some
Philosophers ….
“ Nature intended women to be our slaves. They are our
property.” – Napoleon Bonaparte
“ Women should be obscene and not heard.” – Groucho Marx
“ So it is naturally with the male and the female; the one is
superior, the other is inferior; the one governs, the other is
governed.” – Aristotle

the world’s 550 million working poor, even though
they make up 40% of the world’s workforce.

Domestic Restrictions:
Restricted to their home and their
primary role is to take care of household
chores.
The maximum percentage of working
women can be seen as health workers,
educationist, clerks or any other low paid
job that are not much preferred by men
because of the lack of growth opportunities
and low pay-scale.
Female dominant environment.
After all day of work at office, no matter
how tired they are, they also have to look
after domestic chores.

Married Working Women:
It becomes difficult for them to maintain work and
household chores equilibrium because of increased
responsibility.
Traditionally, men are the bread earners of the
house and it is not appreciable if women support the
family financially or if women earn more than men.
It is not possible for them to work in late hours.
The majority of new mothers can’t balance between
their works and their kids.
13. 12/2/2016 13
Mental Harassment:
Less capable and inefficient in working as compared to
men.
Gender bias creates obstacles in their recruitment.
No one thinks of upgrading their skills with
technological advancement which makes it easy to
terminate woman’s employment and hire other persons.
Women’s issues do not occur on the priority list of most
of the trade unions.
14. Women in the Workplace:
Fear of Oppression and Exploitation.
Sexual Harassment.

Security, Life and Dignity:
With more and more cases of physical assault, theft
and abuse being reported in news channels, women
need to learn the art of self-defense for their security.
Many organizations have employed special security
services for helping their women employees to get
back home at late nights.
Not just working women but every girl should always
be prepared to face the wrath of uncivilized men and
hence must equip themselves with defense
mechanism.

To face challenges, women need to be self-confident
and should keep herself up to date with the latest
happenings in the world of technology.
The internet has now solved the problem of limited
opportunities. So women should keep surfing the
internet to increase their knowledge.
Another most important thing is to maintain balance
in work and personal life.
Also there is a need to educate men and tell them to
respect other women like they respect women in their
family.
What they need to do?

CONCLUSION:
Technological advancement results in retrenchment of women employees.
Women’s issues do not occur on the priority list of most of the trade unions.
Public transport system is overcrowded and men take advantage of the
circumstances to physically harass women.
Colleagues offer unwanted attention which can still be shaken off if.
There have been several cases of sexual harassment recently involving even the
senior women officials.
The psychological pressure of all this can easily lead to a woman quitting her job.
A fundamental change is required in the attitudes of the employers, policy makers,
family members and other relatives and the public at large
