Science and art of obtaining information of an object, area or
phenomenon by the use of recording or real time sensing
devices not in physical contact with the object, such as by using
satellite or aircraft.

5. Ways to Use Remote Sensing Data
ü Collect data on inaccessible or dangerous areas
ü Monitoring of natural hazards and disasters like
flood, landslides, earthquakes
ü Climate change monitoring
ü Land cover maps or Vegetation maps
ü Monitor haphazard urbanization
