Fact – is something which can be
verified with evidences and is
provable, observable and measurable.

11. Facts that can be proven by reliable
authority such as:
Statistics
Proven scientific law
History book
Governmental laws
An observation
Note: None of these authorities are full proof, but the
information they provide is considered to be fact.

12. Example:
Ferdinand Marcos is the former
president of the Philippines.

13. Know the Difference!
Opinion – is something, which can’t be
proven, and they are based on
someone’s thoughts, feelings and
understanding.

14. Example:
President Duterte is the best
president.

15. Key Points
Though you use facts to add
credibility to an opinion, it is still an
opinion.
Though an opinion may be widely
accepted, it does not make any fact.
