Kick: is flow of formation fluid into wellbore during drilling. It
happen when drilling fluid (mud) column hydrostatic pressure
is less than formation pressure . Well is shut in with BOP and
formation fluid is circulated out and mud weight is increased.

What is Blow out?
Blow Out: A blowout is the uncontrolled release of crude oil and/or
natural gas from an oil well or gas well after pressure control systems
have failed.
Blowout Preventer (BOP) is an assembly of specialized valves or similar
mechanical devices installed, during drilling, between the wellhead system
and the drill floor. It is used to seal, control and monitor the well in case of
kick.

used to rack kelly.
Mouse hole

It is large OD pipe which take mud return
from BOP stack bell nipple to shale shaker.
54. Drill pipe circulating head
It is device make up with drill string with circulating hose or
high pressure checkson lines for following purposes.
** PT casing through drill string with cement unit
** Performing cement job through stinger.
** For circulating through string to change out rotary hose or

Reserve tank
