• Get up in the attic and check insulation levels
• Make sure vents are not covered

3. Maintain units by testing batteries monthly and
replacing weak ones immediately with new and
tested batteries. Replace all batteries at least once
a year. If in doubt, replace a detector.
Vacuum the grillwork of your detector at least once
a year. Cobwebs and dust can impair a detector’s
sensitivity.

love.
Clean and re-seal all the
grout in the bathrooms
and re-caulk all sinks,
toilets and tubs.

5. Clean and reseal granite,
ceramic tile, or stone.
Promote long life and protect from abuse
by following manufacturer instructions to
clean and seal all stone and ceramic tile.
