This document outlines the key structures involved in processing auditory signals in the brain. It shows how sound signals travel from the cochlea to the thalamus and primary auditory cortex via various subcortical structures like the cochlear nuclei, superior olivary nucleus, lateral lemniscus, and medial geniculate nucleus. The primary auditory cortex then performs further cortical processing of auditory signals.
