Corporate History
Since its establishment in 1973 our company
has evolved from a single-product manufacturer
to a vendor of high sophisticated visualization
systems. At our Denzlingen site alone, a work-
force of about 200 team members develop and
manufactur a yearly output of next to 13,000
visualization systems. At the same time a net-
work of agencies spans the globe to cater for
our customers’ needs worldwide.
The future will see an increasing miniaturization
of our medical devices, aimed at easing minimal
invasive surgery for patients even further. In
engineering, new fields of application will open
up as modular optical probes converge with
camera imaging and video archiving technologies.

4. Our Program
Visualization for medical and engineering applications is our core business. All products made by
Schölly are targeted at making concealed structures visible and accessible for non-destructive/mini-
mal invasive treatment, using technology such as micro-optics, fiberoptics and electronics.
We design, manufacture and sell all components dedicated to that purpose independently from the
endoscope, almost a classic in our product line, to highly complex visualization systems.
Long-term partnerships with OEM customers and users promote the continuous improvement and
further development of our products as well as research into new fields of application. Our flexibility
and readiness to adapt to other mindsets and markets has added much to our credit with partners
worldwide.

Schölly recognized the many problems faced by sur-
geons staffs using currently available endoscopic clip
appliers which correspond to the needs of the surgeons,
the hygiene and the cost aspect.
The jaws are absolutely free of pins and links which
secures them against breaking.
Onehanded (360°) rotation in both directions is
possible. The sheath locks automatically when the
jaws are closed. The clip applier is easy to dismantle
for cleaning and sterilization.
All clip applying forceps have a diameter of 10 mm
and a length of 33 cm.
