 During the research stage of making the film, I used
the internet to do my research on my film genre which
is a psychological thriller genre.
 For example I used website such as IMDB and
Wikipedia. IMDB and Wikipedia have helped me find
out what kind of feedback the audience are giving for
the film genre that I am making.
 Thus using the internet has allowed me to find out
more interesting facts about the film genre and other
various facts. In addition IMDB and Wikipedia has
allowed me to judge whether the films are successful
or unsuccessful because both IMDB and Wikipedia
have a list of top movies that they believe people
should be watching in that particular genre.

 Through the research stage of making the film. I
used social networking sites to send my survey
questions on audience research also I used social
networking sites to get feedback from my target
audience.
 For example I used Facebook and other various
social networking sites to distribute my survey to the
sample audience.
 Using the social networking site has allowed me to
interact with the audience and it has allowed me to
know what my target audience are looking for from
my film. In addition using social networking sites has
made communications with the actors and other
team members easy and effective.

 The Survey Monkey website has
helped me create a audience survey
and where I get fast feedback from
those people who took part in the
audience survey.
 The survey improved our knowledge
on what type of movies a audience
wants to watch or what type of
genres a audience wants to watch.

 YouTube is a website that connects people
into the world of digital media. Hence
YouTube can be used for many purposes.
 For example one of the purpose of YouTube
is that people can learn from watching videos
posted by lots of different people such as
camera techniques or editing techniques.
 I used YouTube in order to find out more
figures about my particular film genre.

 I used Google in order to help myself prepare
for the production of my film.
 For example one of the task was to create a
health and safety risk assessment for the
locations the we are going use for our film.
 Using Google has helped me to understand
how to create the health and safety risk
assessment, because Google had websites
that explained how to create the health and
safety risk assessment.

 During the planning stage of
making the film, I used Microsoft
software to create the film script,
filming schedule and other
various elements of the planning
stage.
 Microsoft has allowed me to be
organized and be effective in
making sure that I am up to date
with where I am at shooting the
film.
 For example I have created a
filming timetable which tells me
what days we are going to film
and what scene we are going to
shoot.

 After writing the script for my film. I had to create a
storyboard, which showed the film through dynamic Images.
 In order to create the storyboard I had to use a story boarding
sheet, after I drew the images of the film, I took still pictures of
the storyboard and I then imported the images to IMovie.
Thus through IMovie I created the animatic.
 Hence using the IMovie software it helped me be familiar with
the roles of editing.

Other factors that I took into consideration
 Organisation of actors> this meant that the contracts were
signed and the actors were present on the shooting days. In
order to get the actors organised and informed I created a
filming schedule in Microsoft. I also emailed to notify the
actors about any changes or problems.
 Booking locations> confirming the booking of the locations
have been booked, we book the house next to our school
because we needed to use a staircase. To book the locations
I created a locations contract in Microsoft. This informed the
mangers of the locations that we have permission to film.
 Organisation of equipment's> ensuring that the
equipment's are checked out of school before taking it out.
This meant that we had to sign-out the filming camera and
tripod. In addition we had to make sure that the battery for the
filming camera were charged for the shooting.

 During the construction of the film I used a high
definition camera (AV). This is because of the high
definition picture quality this camera has and because
professional film makers use it too.
 For example in one of our scenes from the film, we have
our female character wear a red satin gown. The high
definition camera (AV) made the red satin gown colour
come out bright and it also made it stand out. Hence we
made sure that the white black on the camera was set
at the right level to give the audience warmth of colour.
 Therefore using the high definition camera (AV) has
helped me because I wanted the audience to see the
female character as a victim.

 During the editing of the film I used Final Cut Pro.
The reason why I used Final Cut Pro is because it
is used by professional film editors and I wanted my
film to be produced to industry standard.
 For example in Final Cut Pro I was able to create a
flash effect in the movie so that the audience get a
flash back of our male character’s mind.
 In addition Final Cut Pro has given the basic skills
for editing a movie on a IMac computer.

 After the construction of the film I used
QuickTime Player to share my film to
everyone else. Hence converting my
film into QuickTime Player has
allowed me to easily access my film
anywhere due to QuickTime Player
being able to be imported into any
social networking site e.g. Vimeo

 During the construction of the poster I used Adobe
Photoshop to construct my poster for my film. The reason
why I choose Adobe Photoshop to construct my poster is
because I have used Adobe Photoshop before.
 Therefore making the poster in Adobe Photoshop was a
effective use of my time. This is because I got to spend
more time in designing the poster and improving it even
more.

 In order to construct my footage in to a short film I
used I Mac computer. I Mac computer has made my
life easy for me because I can access files and other
various media to make my film, due to the I Mac
being a faster computer software.
 Along with I Mac I used my own computer to update
my blog regularly and to work at home in my own
spare time.
 For example I made PowerPoint personations at
home to show my research.

 Through the construction of the film we
used Digital recording suite to record our
trailer and voiceovers.
 We had to use logic pro and a microphone
to create our radio trailer.
 I had to download copyright free sound
effects and music from the internet.

 Vimeo / YouTube is the programme the we used to
share our video with the world. Vimeo / YouTube
has let us upload our video which could be seen by
anyone.
 By broadcasting the link. This reeled in our
viewers.
 I also used slide share which let me upload my
PowerPoint presentations. Slide share than
generated an embed code which could be than
posted in to my blog.
 Sound cloud is a programme that I used to upload
my radio trailer into my blog. Sound cloud has
allowed me to share and distribute audio files.

 Using Bluetooth from my mobile
phone has allowed me to connect to
the IMac computer and other mobile
phones to send files. For Example I
was able to send images and audios.
 Using the external hard drive has
allowed me to save all the work I did
during the process of creating the film
and radio trailer.
