Hello and welcome to the workshop everyone. My name is Sean Dugan and it is great to see you all here, some of you having travelled across the UK.
If you look at the attendee list and this slide you can see the variety of organisations here, which will add to the value of the event. The programme is a mix of talks, discussions and practical sessions so I’m sure will also provide plenty time for meeting new faces.
Thank you to all speakers for their hard work in preparing for the event
Thank you also to Paul Coulson for jointly organising the event
Thank you to Sarah from the conference centre for being a star.
Hello and welcome to the workshop everyone. My name is Sean Dugan and it is great to see you all here, some of you having travelled across the UK.
So, why are we here? SFCC and IFM run a joint workshop in Scotland each Spring, and this year the topic of mapping fisheries was a clear priority. I am certain that over the next 2 days you will see why it is a priority, not just for fisheries, but for wider environmental management.
This workshop is also aimed at those new to mapping, so please if you have any questions during the 2 days just ask. We can also point you in the direction of further resources if you require.
Run through day 1 programme.
