2. INTRO TO RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
The Respiratory System is how we breath in
Oxygen and breath out Carbon Dioxide.
 It consists of many parts including one of the most
common parts known as the lungs.
 There are many things that can happen to the
Respiratory System like a cold or getting lung
cancer.
 The Respiratory System works with many systems
such as The Muscular System to help you breath.


3. FUNCTIONS
We use the Respiratory System for taking in
Oxygen
 We also use the Respiratory System to Eliminate
Co2.
 As a whole both together make up how we breath
with both of them.


5. INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SYSTEMS
The Muscular System pushes air into and out of
your Lungs.
 The Nervous System signals you to breath in and
out.


6. ROLE IN MAINTAINING HOMEOSTASIS

The Muscular system interacts with respiratory
system, so you can breath. The interaction brings
oxygen into your lungs and removes carbon dioxide
from your lungs. In maintaining Homeostasis the
Respiratory and Circulatory work together to bring
oxygen to cells in your body.

7. HEALTH AND DISEASES
The best way to maintain a good respiratory system
is to stay away from irritants and air pollution, Don’t
smoke and avoid second hand smoke.
 There are many respiratory illnesses that are as
common as a cold with congestion and a runny
nose and as serious as lung cancer from smoking
with symptoms of coughing, difficulty breathing, and
chest pain.


Bronchitus is when the Bronchus starts swelling and
fills with mucus.
 What are the effects of Smoking?
The most common effects of smoking are
Emphysema and Lung cancer along with coughing
and chest pain and often death.

All cells in your body need oxygen to function through
a process called cellular respiration.
