ECONOMY                                                                                          BEAT ON THE STREET
                                                                                                 “Although the Ottawa downtown core office
The unemployment rate for the Ottawa-Gatineau region held steady in November at
5.4%. This comes despite a drop in employment of 1,100 jobs, the first employment level          market is performing well, back-filling

In a year characterized by economic uncertainty, both the private and public sectors were
either unwilling or unable to make significant moves and were content to sit on the

  • 1. OTTAWA OFFICE REPORT 4Q09 ECONOMY BEAT ON THE STREET “Although the Ottawa downtown core office The unemployment rate for the Ottawa-Gatineau region held steady in November at 5.4%.
