This document provides an overview of the first week's lesson plan for a technology and innovation course. It introduces the course expectations, requirements, and syllabus. The goal of the course is for students to master important learning tools using new media by the end of the semester. The first week focuses on the concept of digital literacy, including an introductory video. Students are assigned to read one of five online articles on digital literacy and post a 100 word summary and response, as well as reply to another student's post with a minimum of 30 words.

PlayQuest Education was founded in 2012 to
promote digital literacy and enhance
students’ ability to effectively use new media
to learn and to produce.
By the end of this semester, our goal is for
each of you to be able to master important

15. Assignment Guidelines
Read one of the five online articles
regarding digital literacy posted on the
forums.
Create a post on the student forums with
a 100 word summary of the article and
your response.
Students must also respond to one other
post left by a student with a minimum 30
words.

Be sure to ask students if they have problems with access. Make a note of the students without access and make the necessary arrangements at the end of class.
