3. MAGNETS
Magnets are the substances which attracts iron
substances towards them. Example - Iron nails , Iron
rods , Iron gate etc.
4. NATURAL MAGNETS
Magnets which occurs naturally and is not made by any
artificial means are called Natural magnet. Example-
Magnetite.
5. ARTIFICIAL MAGNET
The substances by which the properties of a natural
magnet is imparted by artificial means is called
Artificial magnet.
Ex- magnet made from iron , cobalt etc.
7. MAGNETIC COMPASS
A compass is an instrument used for navigation that
shows directions relative to the geographic “Cardinal
Directions” is called a Magnetic Compass.
8. NORTH POLE
The end of the freely suspended which
point towards the geographic north is
called North Pole.
9. SOUTH POLE
The end of the freely suspended
which point towards the
geographic south is called South
Pole .
