2. Simple Past:
We use Simple Past to talk about
activities that you started in the past and
they finished in the past. We have two
kind of verbs: Regular verbs and
Irregular verbs.
3. Simple Present: (Auxiliary - Did)
In Simple Past we just have one
auxiliary: DID, this is used in negative
sentences and questions (YES/NO
Questions and WH-Questions). We use
DID with; I, you, he, she, it, we, you and
they.
5. Structure: (Negative
sentences)
Tip: In Simple Past if we have negative
sentences, we have to use the auxiliary
DID in negative form.
Subject + didn´t + Verb (Base form) +
Object
Ex:
We didn´t play soccer every saturday
She didn´t play soccer every saturday
6. Structure: (Questions)
YES/NO Questions:
DID + Subject + verb (Base form) +
object + ? (Question mark)
- Did you play soccer every Saturday?
- Did she play soccer every Saturday?
WH-Questions:
Wh-word + did + verb (B.F.) + object + ?
Why did you play soccer every
Saturday?
