4. Federal Investigation Agency
The Federal Investigation Agency is a border control, criminal investigation, counter-
intelligence and security agency under the control of the Interior Secretary of Pakistan, tasked with
investigative jurisdiction on undertaking operations against terrorism, espionage, federal crimes,
fascism, smuggling as well as infringement and other specific crimes.
The FIA's main goal and priority is to protect the nation's interests and defend Pakistan, to uphold
and enforce criminal law, and law enforcement in the country.
5. FIA has 10 active departments
Counter-terrorism Wing (CTW)—Tasked to protect Pakistan from all kinds of terrorist attacks
including cyber, bioterrorism, chemical, electronic and nuclear terrorism.
Anti-Corruption Wing (ACW)—Tasked with undertaking investigations and combat all public corruption at all levels of
command.
Economic Crime Wing (ECW)—Mandate to protect Pakistan from economic terrorism and protection of intellectual
property rights of the people.
Immigration Wing (IW)—Combat human trafficking activities and resist illegal immigration in Pakistan.
Technical Wing (TW)—Tasked to make efforts to protect Pakistan against foreign intelligence operations and espionage
Legal Branch (LB)—Responsible to provide legal guidance in all administrative and operational matters as well as
protect civil rights.
National Central Bureau (NCB)—Tasked to combat transnational/national criminal organizations and enterprises with
assistance from Interpol and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Anti Trafficking Unit (ATU)—Tasked to combat major violent crimes, to ensure country-wide coverage of human
trafficking, as well as to prevent and protect the victims of trafficking.

7. National Accountability Bureau
The National Accountability Bureau is an autonomous and constitutionally established
federal institution responsible to build efforts against corruption
Prepare critical national economic intelligence assessments against economic
terrorism to the Government of Pakistan.
The NAB is empowered to undertake any necessary prevention and awareness, in all
means, in addition to enforce its operations against the economic terrorism
and financial crimes.
NAB can launch investigations, conduct inquiries, and issues arrests warrants against
the individuals suspected in the financial mismanagement, terrorism, corruptions (all
in private-sector, state-sector, defense sector, and corporate-sector), and directs cases
to accountability courts.

Financial recoveries
NAB has recovered over ₨. 240 Bn (approximately $ 4 Billion) from corruption
committed by country's elite politicians, bureaucrats, former military officers, and
those involved in the white-collar crimes.
In 2011, the NAB reported that it has 1791 cases that were under prosecution, out
of which, 1093 cases prosecutions were completed.

13. Anti Corruption Establishment in all provinces
Primarily, it is dedicated to nip corruption in the bud from the Provincial Government
Departments and Services.
In order to bar the white collar crime; on one side, it bears the responsibility of eradication
of corruption by multidimensional flow of information and awareness among general
masses, while reacting against corrupt practices on the other side, within the government
parameters.
It adopts an approach of a vigilant watchdog, ensuring vivid accountability and absolute
application of law enforcement on public servants.
