Restoration of vegetation after a highway spill ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
The site before application of AgroRemed The grass seeds were planted immediately after spray with AgroRemed near the guard rail. Fresh grass began to grow in a weeks time. The vegetation on the right had received a greater impact of the spill. The TPH of the soil was 65,000 ppm. TPH was reduced in less than 3 weeks time to 26,000 ppm after first application of AgroRemed. At the end 3 months the TPH was less than 850 ppm and the vegetation began to grow healthily
Cleanup of highway spill with AgroRemed in West Virginia ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
Application of AgroRemed TPH of the soil was 47,000 ppm. Gravel was brought for fresh fill and the soil was treated with AgroRemed. Conditions along the road requires multiple application and at the end of 61 days, the TPH of the soil at the 4 monitoring site was less than 500 ppm and in one site it was below detectable limits
Damage to Asphalt by Diesel It was pointed by VDOT during discussions that asphalt is very permeable to diesel and hence can affect the life of the pavement. We tried to do some research and there was only one report available on the effect of diesel on asphalt. According to this report Resilient modulus of core samples was reduced by half in 2 weeks time due to the dissolution of binder by diesel in the asphalt. In wheel tracker test, the maximum rut depth of 15.35 mm was recorded for diesel saturated slabs in 2 hours time.

Notas do Editor

  1. Notice the reduction in bacterial population at the end of a week, proof that the bacteria eventually reduce in number in proportion to amount of oil present in the environment.
  2. If you have several points, steps, or key ideas use multiple slides. Determine if your audience is to understand a new idea, learn a process, or receive greater depth to a familiar concept. Back up each point with adequate explanation. As appropriate, supplement your presentation with technical support data in hard copy or on disc, e-mail, or the Internet. Develop each point adequately to communicate with your audience.
