2. Seeking to contribute my experience, expertise
and skills to achieve results. I am a dedicated
professional practicing Architecture and Interior
Designing for about four years now. The type
of architecture that I focus on is Residential,
Commercial, and Institutional, landscaping and
master panning. I use computer aided design
software This makes the execution process easier
and eliminates errors that used to happen due to
old school methods. All this makes for a better
and more economical Project.
When I am not in the job I love reading, working
my way through new recipes. I explore my creative
side by indulging into paper crafts. I love meeting
new people and learning new things all the time it
inspires me provides with a diverse perspective
towards work.

My involvement with International Center for Sustainable Cities
was as a freelancer for a time period of more than two years.
During my association with the center I was required to work on ‘Pro-
Poor Tourism Development Project’ for the Department of Tourism,
Government of Uttar Pradesh funded by the World Bank. Prime
responsibilities included preparing series of drawings required at
various phases in project development.
The primary objective was to ensure that the project would address the
adverse impacts on the livelihood of the people and that nobody is left
worse- off after project implement and all local inhabitants, including
those affected by the project, would have access to project benefits.
Critical measures were adopted such as minimal construction, use
of contemporary Architecture in form of tensile structures, use of
indigenous materials resulting in cohesive urban fabric with the
existing structures of extremely high mythological importance.

Working on Panchgam community hall was an insightful
experience during my Architectural Internship at Amin and
Shah Architects, Ahmedabad. I was responsible for preparing
Architecture as well as passing drawings for various stages of
construction in the project. This was a complex project due
to involvement of high - end structural system. Projects like
these allowed me to sharpen my skills at multiple levels such
as project detailing, landscape designing, Campus design,
building materials, etc.

MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING AT
NASHIK03
Inceptive effort at creating sustainable design began with the housing studio project where we were to design Multi- Family
housing community at Nashik, Maharashra. This project required consideration for multiple and diverse criterias such
as natural slope, prominent physical features such as a canal near by, building bye-laws of an unfamiliar city, site layout
to maximize units, provision of modern utilities all in all current-day requirements of a contemporary housing community.
During site layout care was taken to provide best view to the most lavish units. Architectural features such as double height
balconies were introduced to reduce FSI consumption.
10. Strategic design guidelines for universal design of
shopping Malls- was a study conducted as Dissertation
for Architecture studies. The purpose of this study was to
explore the concept of Universal Design for built environment.
It’s inevitability for buildings of public domain. Furthermore
the research investigates the loop holes in current guidelines
imposed by Indian government.
The study was conducted in shopping malls of city of
Ahmedabad. This research is qualitative in approach and
based on mixed methods. Data for this research study was
obtained through detailed case study, visual survey, access
audit, activity mapping, questionnaires, and lastly access
audit. The efficiency of the design of shopping mall’s built
environment with respect to universal design was primarily
assessed based on guidelines laid down by government
of India as it is the bare minimum necessity. Further these
guidelines were closely examined for any loop holes by
comparing it ADA standards and other such texts wherever
they were applicable in Indian context.
Based on results from study conclusion can be made that the
efforts to make built environment (at least) barrier free were
highly insufficient for comfortable navigation and accessing
of the mall premises by people with even minor difficulties.
Moreover for further guidance of designers, strategic design
guidelines were prepared considering Indian context as well
as psyche. However during the research study I realized the
need of a statutory body that not just enforces and mandates
these laws but also ensures its application.
DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR
UNIVERSALDESIGN04
13. The brief of this project required some level of civil renovations followed by
interior designing such that it made the 3-BHK residence both functional
and aesthetically appealing. The biggest challenge was to design in a way that
there was a balance between the aesthetics and homologues functions and was
furnished well within the budget constraints.
Designing was tailored to incorporate the family’s need with each couple getting
their own unique theme for their private spaces however the public and semi-
public areas were conceived to be extremely contemporary in design and highly
functional.
14. This is a two bedroom house designed for a
young IT couple. Project brief was to maximize
the use of existing furniture. A fresh approach was
incorporated to create a fabulous contemporary
design which not only fit the lifestyle of the residents
but also inspired them every day. Employing space
management skills were critical for this project
and hence there is extensive use of multifunctional
elements. Basic principles of Vastu-shashtra were
followed throughout the designing process yet great
care was taken to avoid theatrics and achieve an
extremely relaxed ambience. My involvement in the
project was to overlook all the civil renovation work
as well interior work and coordinate with the entire
team to deliver timely completion of work. Designing
extensively included the furniture layout, kitchen and
store layout, false ceiling and lighting design, custom
furniture design, amongst others.

17. 3-D modeling allowed me to learn skills
relevant to the evolving current–day design
practices. These views were made for different
stages of design and with a varying purpose
depending on the project requirement. They
were used to communicate design across
clients who might have difficulty in visualizing
if given a 2-D drawing. Software applications
such as AutoCD, Google SketchUP, Vray,
Photoshop were utilized to achieve result.
