1. How to refill the Sharp AL-100TD toner cartridge?

3. Toner refill procedure
1. Place the empty Sharp AL1000TD cartridge on a flat or level and
steady surface.
2. Take out the small screws that secure the end cap. Pry the end cap
lightly to release it from the locking mechanism.
3. The large plastic plug on the side of the cartridge should be visible.
Use the small flathead screwdriver and pry it open.
4. Hold the cartridge with the toner fill hole over a trash can and
empty it out of what remains of the old toner. Clean the toner
chamber thoroughly to avoid contaminants mixing with the refill
toner. Contaminants cause print defects.
5. Take out the bottle of replacement toner from the Sharp AL1000
toner refill kit.
6. Before opening the bottle of toner, turn it upside down or tap it on
the table surface. This should loosen clumped toner and flow freely.
7. Remove the cap of the toner bottle and pull out the seal. Take out
the funnel cap from the toner refill kit and screw it tightly to the rim
of the toner bottle.
8. Tilt the bottle with the funnel cap towards the cartridge fill hole and
insert. Toner should now flow freely. Should toner stop flowing, pull
the bottle away from the cartridge. Take out the funnel cap and
reseal the bottle with the cap. Tap the bottle some more on the
surface to further loosen the particles. Resume the refill process.
9. Once toner transfer is completed reseal the chamber. Twist the
plug to ensure that it sits tightly on the cartridge toner fill hole.
10. The refill toner cartridge process is now complete. Clean the
cartridge of toner - use the toner wipe that comes with the kit.
11. Before reloading the cartridge back to the printer shake the
cartridge left to right. The slight jarring should cause toner inside
the chamber to spread evenly.
Caution. It is appropriate to use the pair of latex gloves that come with the
refill kit in doing the entire toner refill process.

4. Adding the developer into the cartridge.
The idea is just to coat the magnetic roller with
the Sharp AL-1000 Developer Refill Kit.
1. Pour a thin bead of developer across the entire length of the
magnetic roller.
2. Rotate the magnetic roller counter clockwise to evenly distribute
the developer.
3. Test print
4. Should it take a while for the printer to warm-up, then the
magnetic roller needs more developer.
5. The second time the developer is applied turn the magnetic roller
now clockwise.
6. Once application of developer is completed, some part of the
magnetic roller may look bald. Do not be alarmed this condition is
normal.
