DEFINITION OF MOTIVATION Motivation is the set of reasons that determines one to engage in a particular behavior. The act or process of stimulating to action , providing an incentive or motive, especially for an act. The psychological forces that determine the direction of a person’s behavior, a person’s level of effort, and a person’s level of persistence.
