2. What I hope to Achieve.
When I am taking the photos for my magazine I am planning on taking pictures of some kind of nice scenery for
the front cover image in the area that my regional magazine is based around which I have decided is going to
be Cleethorpes. I also plan to take some nice pictures of the beach when the sun is setting as I think that is
when Cleethorpes beach is most picturesque at that time of the day. It also looks nice when the sun is rising
however this would be inconvenient times for me and I would not be able achieve this therefore I am going to
stick to taking my photographs when the sun sets.
I want to show that my regional magazine is a lifestyle/fashion magazine that captures the beauty of
Cleethorpes and shows where you can go within Cleethorpes to achieve up to date fashion and the most
interesting and current places to eat and visit in general.
3. When do I plan to achieve this?
I have booked equipment to take out on Friday 20th November 2015, I am going to take photographs over the
weekend of various different places in Cleethorpes and I am going to return the equipment on Monday 23rd
November 2015. The equipment that I have booked is the Nikon D3200 camera and a small tripod.
Where is myphotoshoot going to take place?
I am planning on taking the photographs for my front cover in Cleethorpes, around the seafront area. My front
cover image will probably be of the sun setting on Cleethorpes beach over the Pier or something.
4. Equipment I will be using.
The equipment I will be using is as follows:
o Nikon D3200 camera.
o Tripod (small).
5. Inspirational Images-FRONTCOVER.
These are the images that I have been inspired by when choosing what I would like to take photographs of for
the front cover page, contents page and double page spread.
I like the colours on this picture and I
would like to use similar colours for my
magazine. I would like my front cover
image to be more central so it looks
better with the layout of the front cover
and doesn’t overlap any cover lines etc.

front cover image, however I
am not sure on the colours
of this photo for my
magazine.
6. I have decided for my front cover that I would like to get a
nice scenery picture of Cleethorpes beach at sunset. I have
decided on this time of the day as I think that is when it
looks it’s nicest and most picturesque. I also think that the
beach looks nice at sunrise in the morning however I don’t
think it would be a realistic goal for me to take pictures at
this time as it is far too early for me to get up in the
morning to be going out and taking pictures. I would
rather take the photographs at night as it is just a lot more
convenient for me to do and I know that this is something
that I will be able to achieve. Also it makes it easier
because the sun sets earlier in the winter time anyway so I
wouldn’t be waiting until too late in the night.
I also want my front cover picture to be quite central so that it
looks like a suitable image to be used for the front cover. I also
don’t want my image to be too fussy as it may take away from
the simplicity of my magazine and it would also make the text a
lot harder to read and it wouldn’t stand out as much.
