We are Primary 5 from St Charles Primary School ,
Glasgow, Scotland. Our school is over 110 years old.
We have 26 children in our class.

1.We have a river called The Clyde in the heart of the
city.
2.Next year Glasgow is holding a special event … The
Commonwealth Games 2014. The opening ceremony is
at Celtic Park.(one of our major football stadiums)
3.Our patron saint is St Mungo.
4. Hampden is in Glasgow. ( Scotland’s international
football stadium)

1.Our patron saint is Saint Andrew.
2.Saint Andrew’s Day is on the 30th November.
3.Next year in October we will decide if we will become independent from
Britain.
4.The river Clyde is the 3rd longest river in Scotland.
5.Edinburgh is the Capital of Scotland.

5. Carol Singing
Carol singing is when you sing on the streets to raise money
for charity.
Our class was carol singing in a shopping centre called St
Enoch to raise money for a charity called The Prince and
Princess of Wales Hospice.
The biggest selling carol is White Christmas by Irving Berlin.
It sold over 350 million copies.
Christmas carols were banned between 1647 and 1660 in
England by Oliver Cromwell.
