In this digipak the artists is seen being represented in a couple of different ways inside the actual album there’s an
image of the artist holding pointing a gun presumably at theaudience this portrays theartists music as maybe very
attacking and suggests that it will hit home with the audience. In the cover digipak however we only see the
bottomhalf of theartists body and here we can assume he is wearing a suit of sorts which and his shoes suggest
professionalism from this we can assume theartist is being represented as someone of power, money and
professionalism as the effect of not showing the whole artists may suggest that we are not fit to see thewhole
person. The fonts used in this digipak are very bold and clear to see used with simplistic bright colours which are
easy to read and understand. However one of theE’s is inverted in 2 instances in this digipak which may suggests
that this maybe a different typeof Eminem album to what the audience usually expects from him. A track in this
digipak that really matches with the images on thedigipak is the music video for the track “Guilty Conscience”. In
this track Eminem goes of mistakes and crimes that the audience can only assume he has been involved with or
been a part of in his past life these crimes involved murder, theft and other things. This links with the image of
Eminem pointing a gun as the song and theimage go together as Eminem may have shot someone and the result of
the shooting left him with a guilty conscience. This really helps to add depth and understanding to the use of
images in the digipak.
