- 12. Staedtler Noris 120 HB Pencil Technical Descrip.on 1. Introduction The Staedtler Noris 120 HB pencil is a tool used for wri:ng or drawing. It creates marks by physical abrasion of graphite on paper or other surfaces. These marks can be removed using an eraser. This descrip:on is intended to explain to the end user the structure and opera:ng principle of the Staedtler Noris 120. 1.1 General Description The main body of the pencil is a hexagonal prism with a yellow and black painted exterior. There is a graphite cylinder running through the center of the body. One end of the body tapers to a point in order to expose the graphite. At the other end, there is an eraser which is aGached to the body by a casing. The pencil is made from a combina:on of wood, graphite, aluminum and rubber.
