The government has increased the age to which all young people in England must continue in education or training, requiring them to continue until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17 from 2013 and until their 18th birthday from 2015. The New Law on Education & Training for 16 & 17 year olds leaflet tell you all you need to know about the law on education and training for 16-17 year olds and how it is applied and what they can do. Till the age of 17 young people must stay in some sort of education; be that in schools, colleges, full-time work with study on the side or apprenticeships. At Pathway we look to provide this age group with Apprenticeships, teaching them important life and work skills, giving them real experience and the opportunity to get paid as they learn. If you are interested in starting an apprenticeship, for a young person you know to apply for one or to take on an apprentice please don't hesitate to contact our recruitment team on 0121 707 055 or 0121 708 0021 Or email: info@pathwaygroup.co.uk
