2. I look forward to seeing you all this evening and sharing in
the celebrations with you again!
This is the year we evolved and changed the name to
Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards and Multicultural
Apprenticeship Alliance.
Our launch event was on social mobility day and that took
place at our event headline sponsor Pearson’s head office in
central London. I, alongside the team were proud to be able
to share the journey that we have been on; the challenges,
the changes, the successes that originally began in 2016
with The Asian Apprenticeship Awards which later evolved
into The BAME Apprenticeship Awards and now form the
awards as you see them today.
The year 2022 also saw the launch of our well-received and now a flagship
event; the Festival of Apprenticeships, a combination of a roadshow and
online events – exhibiting, showcasing, and promoting all things
apprenticeships which you will be hearing more about going into next year.
My sincere appreciation and congratulations to all the team collectively
who as before, work tirelessly to make our event happen and ensure it goes
from strength to strength. Thank you sincerely also to all sponsors, partners,
judges, ambassadors, and supporters, who collectively make these awards
work – it just wouldn’t be possible without you all.
Even though the awards name has changed we remain steadfast on its
purpose, which is celebrating the talent and diversity in apprenticeships.
