the ways people think about gender, so that
individuals rely less on assumptions about
traditional and outdated views on the roles of
men and women.
• it is the process by which people are made
aware of how gender plays a role in life
through their treatment of others.

insight in to the state of other sex,with
reference to historical root of sexist stereo
typing ,discrimination and violence

4. • Gender relations are present in all institutions
and gender sensitivity especially manifests in
recognizing privilege and discrimination
around gender.
• Gender sensitivity trainings are used to
educate people, usually employees, to
become more aware of and sensitive to
gender in their lives or workplaces.[1]

5. • Gender sensitivity tries to ensure that peoples
rely less on assumptions about the traditional
and outdated roles of men and women
• Gender sensitivity often get expressed through
peoples language choice. we can choose more
inclusive language and use words that are gender
neutral
• Gender sensitivity pertains to one's effort to
show how gender shapes the role of women and
men society, including their role in development
,and how it affects relations between them.

parents and teachers
• Curriculum:it is important that all text,reading
material and books be free of notion of gender
inequality as bias is embedded in text books
lessons and teachers interactions with students
• Educational system: educational system need to
be gender sensitive and gender friendly for girls
and boys
• Guide line by gender experts: there is a need for
the development of criteria of meeting gender
sensitive guidelines

7. • Role of governmental and nongovernmental
organization: it can play a pivotal role in promoting
gender equality.
• Use of gender sensitive vocabulary:gender neutral
language needs to be promoted at all levels and
throughtout the institutions for students,staff,and
• faculty and management levels.
• Educational policies: all policies ,programs and
interventions need to be gender sensitive
• Teacher training programs: it should be gender
sensitized

8. • School- parent partnership: is to be strengthened
to identify and address gender issues in home
and in educational institutions
• Gender training /sensitization sessions: gender
training must be provided for parents ,teachers,
staff administrators and local officials
• Monitoring: gender sensitivity progress must be
constantly reviewed by gender experts and steps
should be taken to sustain the same
