2. "God's sovereignty is first painful, then slowly
powerful, and over much time seen to be
profitable. It is to be studied with great
sensitivity for the experiences of others and deep
reverence for the One who controls the outcomes
of every matter in the universe.“
James MacDonald (In Gripped by the Greatness of God)
God’s Plan In Creation – His Glory
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed
us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He
chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy
and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as
sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the
Beloved.” (Eph. 1:3-6 )

3. The essence of life
Father
“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” (Gen. 1:3)
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me
shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special
people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9)

4. Jesus was/is in the Father
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to
you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of
the works themselves. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I
do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (John
14:10-12)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was
the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not
comprehend it.” (John 1:1-5)

5. Jesus is in the Father (John 14:11)
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the
heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and
alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved
Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)
“And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying,
“This is My beloved Son. Hear Him! Suddenly”, when they had looked around, they saw no
one anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.” (Mark 9:7,8)

6. Unregenerate Man Is Apart From Them (Father/Jesus)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
“For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
Man
“And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again
curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his
youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.” (Genesis 8:21)
“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

9. When man responds to God’s love (believes
in Jesus and repents of sinful life)
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is
light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Love
Man
Believe
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to
those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12,13)
“giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of
the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us
into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. .” (Colossians 1:12-15)

10. Believer now in Christ, but needs to be transformed
into the image (divinity) of Jesus Christ.
believer
“That you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.”
(1 Thessalonians 2:12)
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But
we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being
transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the
Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does
not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it
may bear more fruit.” (John 15:1,2)

11. Believer now in Christ, but needs to be transformed
into the image (divinity) of Jesus Christ.
believer
“Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that
you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who
believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He
raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above
all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in
this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him
to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in
all..” (Ephesians 1:16-23)

12. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; (Acts 17:28a)
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass
through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. They go from
strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah (Stop!!! Think About This).” (Psalm 84:5-8)

13. For Jesus Prayed and is still praying:
“THAT THEY MAY BEHOLD
MY GLORY”
“That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one
in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have
given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they
may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have
loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave
Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You
have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John
17:21-24)

15. Most Importantly!!!!!
You might say – "Why do I have to know and experience this Jesus you are going on about?" Here
is why, when and how you can get to know Him.
Admit your spiritual need.
We all are sinners: nobody likes that title “SINNER”, but the bible says in Romans 3:23 that “all have
sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
What is the result of sin?
In Romans 6:23 we read “The wages of sin is death…” in other words, every sin is another step
towards death. One thing that we need to remember is that God never sends anyone to hell; one can
send himself there by rejecting the truth.
Since we can never measure up to God’s standards by our own strength; God has reached out to
mankind.
In Romans 5:8 we read, “God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us”. It is Jesus, after all, who is the source of life’s greatest high.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17).
What must a person do to accept this gift?
twentyfirstcenturyromanhighway.wordpress.com © Sabaoth 2013
16. Simply receive it! Matthew 11:28 states –“come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me…for my yoke is easy and my burden is
light”.
Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me” Jesus stands at the door of your heart
and knocks, seeking entrance into your life to give you peace, change you for the best. John 1:12 says: “For
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God”.
If you haven't already received Christ as your Saviour, don't put it off another day! Take
time right now to reflect on the state of your life, how does Romans 3:23 apply to you?
Ask God to empower you to see the true state of your heart – “The heart of man is
deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9) then
when enabled, invite Jesus into your life. Confess your sins. Receive His forgiveness and
the gift of eternal life. You might pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of a Saviour. Thank You for
dying on the cross for my sins. Thank You for giving me eternal life. Help
me to live my life in a way that pleases You, for whatever time You give me
here on earth. I look forward to living forever in Heaven with You. Amen.
