17. One of the advantages for cultural workers is that mapping allows to get a fresh perspective by looking at data
from different points of view: cross cultural, public access, concentration, networking. Also, mapping can help
cultural workers gain an objective overview of relationships that cut cross disciplines. It can also be used as tool to
locate gaps, needs and overlaps in arts and cultural activities in certain areas in local communities.
However, mapping can be a demanding process and feasibility is an important consideration. Does the
organization has the money, the time and the human resources to see it through? A good question to ask is
whether mapping would be the most useful and economical approach.

For community art program planners who want to enrich the cultural
landscape in the community.
Our product offers the opportunity to develop visual representations of
the tangible and intangible benefits of cultural resources.
This will be accomplished through a series of mapping techniques
focusing on identifying and documenting local cultural resources.
Unlike the cultural inventory method, which mainly focuses on
quantitative data, our approach combines quantitative and qualitative
methodologies which in turn offers a deeper insight into diversity, history
and identity.
