2. Ryan Kashubara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial
and Systems Engineering at Ohio State University. After graduation
he worked with Epic Technologies LLC as a quality engineer, and was
responsible for leading the containment of nonconforming material
and monitored customer returns. He was responsible for inspected
product for quality assurance. He was involved in designing work
cells as well as process mapping.
3. Mr. Kashubara is interested in using process mapping to improve
production for his companies. Process mapping involves creating
a workflow diagram in order to develop a clear understanding of
a process or a series of processes. Companies that want to
improve production may use process mapping in order to make
various processes more efficient.
4. The first step in creating a workflow diagram is to determine
process boundaries. For example, where does it begin and
where does it end? The next step is to consider the various
tasks, or steps, that are involved. Once these are established, it
is important to put them in order. Once every task is accounted
for, it is important to check the map for completeness. Go over
it in order to confirm that there are no steps missing.
