Poor Little Piglets
It’s not that people can’t donate, it’s that people won’t. The common
rationalization seems to be “I’m sure someone else will help them..” However, what
happens if everyone is thinking that way. Who will help them then? We can’t let our busy
lives keep us from helping out every now and then. I’m sure if anyone saw a handful of
babies drinking milk from a pig to survive they would take action, maybe even take them
to their own house and care for them. It shouldn’t have to come to that though, people
should feel that urgency just by knowing that kids are starving. It also presses the
question of “How would I feel in that situation?” The unanimous answer would be “I
need help.”
Every day there are thousands of starving children waiting to receive help from
someone, and every day there are millions of people who ignore them. All over the media
there are commercials, advertisements and messages encouraging people to help. It’s not
just some of the media either, its all of it; television, billboards, magazines and the
internet are just some of the common areas these ads can be found. In this case their main
focus was using infants to get to the hearts of adults. Using babies is an easy way to draw
out certain emotions such as sympathy, love, pity, etc. Seeing something so innocent be
in a bad situation is definitely going to stir up the public, and that is what the creators of
this piece where trying to do.

2. humanity. People helping people in times of need. Everyday there are people standing at
freeway intersections, or on busy roads begging for money or food. Is this really what the
world has come to? They may not look like innocent little babies fighting for survival but
every single one of them has a unique story of their own. If every family in the United
States contributed even just one dollar to a charity fund for starving kids, there would be
over $100 million dollars donated. That would be able to buy plenty of food for
thousands of children. And for every extra dollar donated the total would continue to
grow. One person can do wonders, but wonders can’t always happen with just one
person.
