Within the first year of the Obama administration, the White House released two new government transparency websites, DATA.gov and APPS.gov to provide access to federal data and allow for the creation of applications using that data. NASA has allocated $5 million to a new Participatory Exploration Office and is seeking input on what its priorities and functions should be. NASA is also asking for ideas on how the agency can better collaborate internally and for prize ideas, as it has 19 days remaining to incorporate feedback into its new Open Government Plan.
