If something‘s rotating – go home, you need a break!
Take a look at the picture? What do you see?
Research has shown that young children
cannot identify the intimate couple
because they do not have prior memory
associated with such a scenario.
Children see nine dolphins.
This is a test to determine if you already
have a corrupted mind. If it is hard for
you to find the dolphins within six
seconds, your mind is indeed corrupted.
Optical Illusions and Visual Phenomena
Want to confuse your eyes and brain a bit?
Yes? Then you might want to have a look at the following pics ..
It ...
… doesn‘t move!
... parallel or not?
Coil or circle?
Concentrate on the cross in the middle, after a while you will notice that this moving
purple dot will turn green!
Look at the cross a bit longer
and you‘ll notice that all dots
except the green one will
disappear.
* Follow the instruction below.
* 1) Stare at the 4 little dots on the middle of the picture for 30 seconds
* 2) then look at a wall near you
* 3) a bright spot will appear
* 4) twinkle a few times and you‘ll see a figure
* 5) What do you see? Or even WHO do you see?
POSITIVE POWER THINKING
• Positive power thinking is my twist on positive thinking It
adds oomph to the practice, taking you beyond the simple
concepts we often hear about when people describe "The
Secret," or the "Law of Attraction."
• Positive power thinking is not about denying the
challenges we face. It is about rising up to meet them.
• No matter what is going on in your life right now- you can
completely control how you respond to it. And by doing
that you can direct the outcome of what happens next.
Under this topic I will be sharing with you very practical
tools that include:
How to think positive
How you treat yourself
How to use “positive language in communicating with others
How to stay positive with installing useful supporting beliefs
(and tearing apart those that limit you)
How to maintain an attitude of Gratitude and Appreciation
Resources you can plug into so that there are always
positive thoughts for the day or uplifting positive thinking
books to read
Mental Health Self Help to get you back up if your life feels
like it has spun out of control
POSITIVE POWER THINKING
PRINCIPLES
• 1. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY
• Positive power thinking requires you to accept
responsibility for where you are in life because unless you
do, you can’t take ownership for changing it. That doesn’t
mean you beat yourself up for what has gone wrong and all
the mistakes you have made. You are human and we all
make mistakes. Get over it. It is part of life.
• Take ownership of your future. Empower yourself with the
idea that the consciousness of your past got you to where
you are now. By expanding your consciousness and
learning new mind tools to improve your thinking, you can
create different outcomes.
2. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW
• Positive power thinking works in accordance with
natural law. In addition to the law of attraction
that most everyone has heard about, there are
other laws governing the universe such as the Law
of Cause and Effect – also known as the Law of
Karma you reap what you sow. What you put out
includes your thinking – both conscious and
unconscious. But that is not all. ACTIONS, habits
and words have a rippling effect – whether you are
aware of it or not.
3. WHERE FOCUS GOES --
ENERGY FLOWS
• MOST people wouldn’t tolerate a lack of positive focus
anywhere but in their mind and imagination -- the ONE
place where focus matters most. DIRECT YOUR FOCUS,
to center your attention on what you want and/or what is
GOOD---and keep it there.
• Having a positive focus does not mean we don’t pay
attention to things that go wrong. It means that when
things go wrong we do not waste our time and energy
worrying and complaining. We accept them and when the
dust has cleared, mindfully make a plan. If solutions are
available we apply them. If not, we stay open to
possibilities.
4. YOUR FEELINGS DO COUNT
• Feelings should be validated –not ignored. That is
why we include emotional flexibility exercises and
mental self help such as stress anxiety
management and other ways to manage stress as
resources here.
• Also realize that most of the time, feelings can be
redirected though attention. My basic philosophy
for dealing with feelings is explained here.
• Admittedly it is not always easy to do. That is
why there are other resources here to help you. If
this is an area you need help please talk to me
5. LITTLE THINGS ADD UP TO BIG
RESULTS
Your happiness and success are dependent on
the small choices you make – every day.
How do you know if you are making the
right choices?
• By asking which one will ultimately bring
you the most happiness and fulfillment –
not the short-term gratification.
SUBCONSCIOUS MIND PROGRAMMING:
THE PHYSIOLOGY OF LASTING CHANGE
• Understanding the science behind subconscious mind
programming is useful for making meaningful changes in
your life.
• Sometimes it is hard to grasp that our life experience is a
result of what we believe to be true. And more often
than not, those beliefs are just notions we THINK are
true-- but in fact they are just perceptions.
• Once we "get that," the hard part of changing our
"programming" begins. With the right tools,
reprogramming your mind is very doable. Understanding
the science behind subconscious mind programming
makes the process easier.
A BIT ABOUT BRAIN
FUNCTIONING
• Your brain functions
rhythmically in much the
same way your heart
beats.
• The average brain
vibration for an adult --
when awake and alert - is
about 21cycles per second.
Scientists call this Beta
brainwave activity. This
activity slows down when
you sleep or daydream.
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONING
DEVELOPS FIRST
• Children have slower brain wave frequencies than adults.
When a baby is born their brain rhythm is only a couple of
beats per second. As they grow up and their brains
develop, brain rhythm increases.
• In children what is considered right brain functioning,
develops first. The right brain is associated with the
subjective senses, imagination, creativity, memory and
intuition, or alpha activity.
• These subjective senses can be developed to sharpen
memory, problem-solving ability and decision-making. It
is here that many of our core beliefs about the world are
stored.
HOW SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
PROGRAMMING NATURALLY OCCURS
IN CHILDREN
• The left brain is the critical thinking part of our
intelligence involved with logic, language and physical
activity. It develops more slowly. In fact scientists now
believe that brains aren’t fully developed until we are well
into our twenties, possibly even our thirties.
• Children are very receptive between the ages of five and
fourteen when their right brains are active and their left
brains – which includes critical thinking – are not yet fully
functional. It is during those formative years that
subconscious mind programming naturally occurs. It is
how people take on limiting beliefs that sabotage their
success.
BELIEFS ARE PROGRAMMED
BEFORE THE BRAIN HAS THE
ABILITY TO THINK CRITICALLY
• Many of our beliefs are formed in early
years from what we see, hear and
experience . At that time our critical
thinking skills are not intact and we
don't question the “mind programming”
that takes place -– often by adults with
good intentions.
• So for example, a kid who grows up in a
household where parents repeated
something along the lines of “If you
don’t get good grades in school, you'll
never have a good job,,” may grow up
with the unconscious belief that he is not
capable of having a great job – or
doesn’t deserve one—because he didn’t
do well in school.
SUBCONSCIOUS MIND PROGRAMMING IS
THE REASON MANY PEOPLE SABOTAGE
THEIR HAPPINESS
• Many people unconsciously sabotage their relationships,
weight loss, money and even health. Some people I have
worked with who suffered chronic health problems as
adults, had early childhood associations of getting much
wanted attention when they were sick as young children.
Those unconscious associations can direct bodily function
in the same way that placebos cure people.
• These types of associations or “beliefs” run as programs in
our subconscious minds and unless we become more
conscious and take steps to solve them, they can run our
lives.
Associations or “Beliefs”
• These types of associations or
“beliefs” run as programs in our
subconscious minds and unless we
become more conscious and take steps
to solve them, they can run our lives.
A metaphor I like to use in my classes
is to think about about the layers of
your mind like an onion – where the
further you go into the center – the
deeper the
“programming.” Affirmations are
great but you have to repeat them a lot
of times for them to penetrate the
onion.
• The only sure way to rewrite your subconscious mind
programming is at the same level those “programs
were created" i.e. a slower brain wave frequency.
That is why I teach self-hypnosis and other mind
power techniques.
• Hypnosis, self hypnosis and some of the other mind
power exercises I offer, lower your brain rhythm
functioning through deep relaxation and visualization
techniques. Affirmations at that deep level of mind,
along with targeted visualization processes
and NLP techniques can rewrite your subconscious
mind programming so you that you can more easily
make the changes you want in your life.
POSITIVE CHANGE HYPNOSIS
CODE-WORD TECHNIQUE
• The use of "Code Words" is a very effective positive
change hypnosis technique for keeping your goal in the
forefront of your mind, fueled with self- motivation
• HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
• Haven’t you ever gone to the store and come back with a
bunch of stuff except the ONE thing you went there
for? The one thing that was so clear in your mind just a
few minutes before?
There are so many distractions in our lives, it is SO easy to
get off track and just forget WHERE you were going or
even WHY you were there in the first place....
Distractions, loss of focus and lack of
motivation
• Distractions, loss of focus and lack of
motivation are the major reasons why
people don’t reach the goals they set for
themselves.
The Code-Word Positive Change
Hypnosis Technique will help you stay
laser focused. It acts as a shortcut to
remember a whole series of concepts
and ideas -- and the feelings associated
with them -- by simply repeating a
short phrase or word to yourself.
• Think of it like a beacon signaling your
new motivation. With your feelings and
your focus working for you, your
behaviors will naturally fall in line.
WHEN TO USE CODE-WORD POSITIVE
CHANGE HYPNOSIS TECHNIQUE
• Use this positive change hypnosis technique when you
want to:
• Keep focused on your short and long-term goals
• Stay positive and self motivated
• More easily follow the action plan, habits and behaviors
that will get you to your goal
• This is how you can "program" the code for positive
change hypnosis when not working with a hypnotherapist.
HOW TO “INSTALL” A CODE
WORD
• Write out a statement with the concepts, ideas and behaviors
you want to affirm in present tense, stated in positive terms.
Include:
• Specific outcomes you want to accomplish
• Reasons why the outcomes are important to you
• The new behaviors you will use to accomplish the goal
• . After writing out your statement, give it a code word.
. The statement should end with "all these concepts and ideas
come to me whenever I think of the code word [insert your
code word]."
. Read the entire statement aloud at least three times with
feeling and concentration.
Say your code word out loud
• To program your subconscious mind with your code word,
use self hypnosis or relax deeply and repeat the code word.
Bringing to mind all the concepts and ideas in your
statement. Notice the shift.
. Use the positive change code word "programming" daily
to reinforce it while in a deep relaxed state.
. Say your code word out loud --eyes open-- while
brushing your teeth, driving, walking or standing in line--at
least once a day to recall your commitment and motivation.
• Once "installed" it acts like a shortcut for positive change
hypnosis, to bring to mind all the ideas in your statement.
EXAMPLE OF A CODE WORD
STATEMENT
• This particular code word statement was written by a student of my weight
loss program Her goal for this positive change hypnosis exercise was to
lose weight and get into better shape --which she did do!
Obviously each context would be different. And everyone’s motivations
and desired outcomes are different. This is just an example of ONE
person’s so you can have an idea of what the finished process looks like.
Yours should be unique and energizing to you.
The person who wrote this statement was motivated by family and quality
of life. Having energy and time to spend with her young grandchildren was
very important to her. She had lost her husband two years prior to this
process.
• Because I love life and it is important to me to look and feel great, I enjoy
healthy habits that keep me fit and thin. I eat whatever I want and maintain
my ideal weight, though I naturally prefer foods that keep me in great
shape.
Think of the code word "think thin."
• I weigh 125 pounds and comfortably fit into a size 4. I easily
and maintain this weight and stay healthy.
I eat only when I am hungry and limit my portions to those that
my body needs. I eat slowly and appreciatively and feel satisfied
after meals. I reward myself by taking long walks on the beach or
a nice hot bath. I manage my stress well by taking time each day
for positive change hypnosis, controlled relaxation and other
“Mind to Succeed” exercises.
• I use my learned techniques to overcome emotional impulses and
negative behaviors immediately. These impulses pass quickly
and occur less and less frequently as time continues.
Think of the code word "think thin."
• It is important to me to give and receive love from my children
and grandchildren for as long as possible. I eat right and
exercise regularly. These behaviors give me the energy I need to
live life fully in every way.
Because I am attracting my ideal mate into my life, I choose to
look my best. I radiate with health and vitality. I look and feel
slender. I am admired and respected by others. It is fun and
exciting to be so attractive.
I am physically fit and radiantly beautiful. This enriches my life
and helps me realize my full potential as a human being. Having
control over my physical body empowers me; consequently I
have more control over my life.
All these concepts and ideas come to me whenever I think of the
code word "think thin."
Q AND A
• Why Anchoring is useful?
• Anchoring is a useful NLP technique for inducing a certain frame of mind or
emotion, such as happiness or relaxation. It usually involves a touch, gesture or
word as an “anchor”
• 2.Describe laying Anchor.
• 3. What is pattern Interruption?
• Pattern interruption is an effective NLP technique for storing key words into a
listener’s subconscious mind. This can be combined with other NLP techniques such
as anchoring for some excellent party trick.
• 4.Why do we use Swish pattern?
• Swish, also known as Swish Pattern, is an NLP technique that is very useful for
replacing an unfavourable emotion or behaviour with a more useful one.
• 5.How can we easily describe Swish pattern?
• Think of Swish as a neuro-linguistic programming version of your computer’s “copy
and paste” function. On your computer, you have some text, you copy them, and
paste them somewhere else. With Swish, you can take part of a memory or
neurological tag and paste it over the tag of a different memory.rravindrakumar@gmail.com
• 6.What is Loop Break ?
• Loop Break is an experimental NLP technique that allows you to con- sciously
change or stop an unconscious process. It works by break- ing a looping process that
your body uses naturally to enter various higher alpha brain states such as anxiety,
fear, anger, rage and stress.
• 7 Why would I use loop break?.
• Why Would I Use NLP Loop Break? You would use NLP loop break to better
control your own behaviour, and with practise you can induce a loop break in
someone else to help them control their own behaviour. It is a very simple NLP
tech- nique - and simplicity is often best.
• 8. What is Happening in Our Brains During Highly Emotional States?
• The reason we get quickly get more and more emotion is there is a loop occurring
between our amyg- dala (region of the brain responsible for emotion), our memory
and our body, which is bypassing our frontal lobes which is the region of the brain
responsible for moderating our behaviour.
rravindrakumar@gmail.com
• 9. what is Framing?
• Framing is one of those NLP techniques that fits in well with other
NLP techniques. The framing technique itself is a type of emotional
amplifier or de-amplifier, which works by rebuilding (or could be
perhaps considered correcting) links in your limbic system between
your amygdala and your hippocampus.
• 10. What makes the framing NLP technique most affective?
• What makes the framing NLP technique most affective is its simplic-
ity and ability to be applied easily in conjunction with other NLP
techniques.
• 11. What is positive framing and negative framing?
• Give examples of each one.
• 12. What is Meta Model?
• The Meta Model is a therapeutic technique you can use to help
understand other people’s problems or help them understand their own
problems better. Literally, the Meta Model means to decon- struct what
someone is saying so you can find the underlying cause of the
problem.
rravindrakumar@gmail.com
• 13. How Meta Model is useful?
• It is often the case, that when someone has a problem, they subcon- sciously
already know what the solution is. It is also often the case that they do not like
the obvious solution, so they keep stirring the problem in hopes that a new,
better solution will come up. This is very common in relationship problems.
The Meta Model is designed to deconstruct the way someone words their
problem, to get to the bottom of it.
• 14. What is Deep structure and what is surface structure?
• When we communicate, it stems from various prompts such as emotions and
memories (deep structure), and sent through a web of cognitive processes
before it leaves the speaker’s mouth (surface structure). Therefore it stands to
reason that it is not easy to 100% effectively communicate the exact message
we want to convey.
• 15. What Is A Presupposition?
• A presupposition is a structure of language that makes unverbalised
assumptions.
• 16. When pre supposition is powerful?
• Presuppositions + Subtlety = Power
rravindrakumar@gmail.com
• A presupposition gets much more powerful with subtlety. Ideally, when someone is
in a confused (suggestible) state, a cleverly-worded presupposition can be used to
make the person believe your presupposed statement
• 17. How Presuppositions are the foundation of hypnosis induction? Describe with
example.
• NLP master Derren Brown advises that the best method of hypnosis induction is a
rapid series of presuppositions. The format of choice is “As and So” - which is a
template that can be applied to anything that is happening and turn it into evidence
that the hypnotic state is increasing. For example: “As you sit there in your seat you
feel more relaxed, so too you notice your eyelids becoming heavier. And as your
eyes become heavier and heavier, so too they become harder and harder to keep
open.” Each of these statements take a truth (you are sitting in your seat) so you are
bound to feel relaxed, and the statement presupposes that when you feel more
relaxed you also feel your eyelids becoming heavier. And because you are feeling
more relaxed, you automatically accept that your eyelids must be getting heavier.
And so it happens. Although these presuppositions are stated only slightly deviated
from the truth, they become very powerful suggestions that are increasingly easy to
follow.

• 18. What is Mirroring?
• Mirroring is simply the process of mimicking subtle
behaviours with whoever we are communicating.
• 19.How can we achieve Mirroring?
• Mirroring can be achieved by copying any of these things:
• • Speech patterns • Body language • Vocabulary style or
specific choices of words
• • Pace, tempo, pitch, tone, volume

The Ultimate Success Formula
What Do You Want? In order to apply the Ultimate
Success Formula, one must first know the desired
outcome.
• The following five rules provide specific
instructions on formulating desired outcomes:
• 1. State the outcome in positive terms.
• 2. Be as specific as possible.
• 3. Have an evidence procedure.
• 4. Be in control.
• 5. Verify the outcome is ecologically sound and
desirable.
The 12-step goal-setting workshop
follows:
• 1. Make a dreams list of things to have, do, be,
and share.
• 2. Estimate completion dates for the dreams.
• 3. Pick the four most important goals for this year
• 4. Review them against the five rules for
outcomes.
• 5. Make a list of the important resources already
yours.
• 6. Focus on times you used some of those
resources well.
• 7. Describe the character you need to attain your
goals.
• 8. Write down what prevents you from having
the goals now.
• 9. Create a step-by-step plan to achieve each
goal.
• 10. Come up with some models.
• 11. Create your ideal day.
• 12. Design your perfect environment.
• As part of your goal-setting quot;gratitude diary
quot; make a list of all the things that you now
have that were once goals.
Energy: The Fuel of Excellence
• The Living Health program follows six basic
principles:
• 1. The power of breath.
• 2. The consumption of water-rich foods as 70%
of one's diet.
• 3. Effective food combining.
• 4. Controlled consumption.
• 5. Effective fruit consumption.
• 6. The protein myth.

  • 10. If something‘s rotating – go home, you need a break!
  • 11. Take a look at the picture? What do you see? Research has shown that young children cannot identify the intimate couple because they do not have prior memory associated with such a scenario. Children see nine dolphins. This is a test to determine if you already have a corrupted mind. If it is hard for you to find the dolphins within six seconds, your mind is indeed corrupted.
  • 12. Optical Illusions and Visual Phenomena Want to confuse your eyes and brain a bit? Yes? Then you might want to have a look at the following pics ..
  • 17. Concentrate on the cross in the middle, after a while you will notice that this moving purple dot will turn green! Look at the cross a bit longer and you‘ll notice that all dots except the green one will disappear.
  • 18. * Follow the instruction below. * 1) Stare at the 4 little dots on the middle of the picture for 30 seconds * 2) then look at a wall near you * 3) a bright spot will appear * 4) twinkle a few times and you‘ll see a figure * 5) What do you see? Or even WHO do you see?
  • 19. POSITIVE POWER THINKING • Positive power thinking is my twist on positive thinking It adds oomph to the practice, taking you beyond the simple concepts we often hear about when people describe "The Secret," or the "Law of Attraction." • Positive power thinking is not about denying the challenges we face. It is about rising up to meet them. • No matter what is going on in your life right now- you can completely control how you respond to it. And by doing that you can direct the outcome of what happens next. Under this topic I will be sharing with you very practical tools that include:
  • 20. How to think positive How you treat yourself How to use “positive language in communicating with others How to stay positive with installing useful supporting beliefs (and tearing apart those that limit you) How to maintain an attitude of Gratitude and Appreciation Resources you can plug into so that there are always positive thoughts for the day or uplifting positive thinking books to read Mental Health Self Help to get you back up if your life feels like it has spun out of control
  • 21. POSITIVE POWER THINKING PRINCIPLES • 1. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY • Positive power thinking requires you to accept responsibility for where you are in life because unless you do, you can’t take ownership for changing it. That doesn’t mean you beat yourself up for what has gone wrong and all the mistakes you have made. You are human and we all make mistakes. Get over it. It is part of life. • Take ownership of your future. Empower yourself with the idea that the consciousness of your past got you to where you are now. By expanding your consciousness and learning new mind tools to improve your thinking, you can create different outcomes.
  • 22. 2. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW • Positive power thinking works in accordance with natural law. In addition to the law of attraction that most everyone has heard about, there are other laws governing the universe such as the Law of Cause and Effect – also known as the Law of Karma you reap what you sow. What you put out includes your thinking – both conscious and unconscious. But that is not all. ACTIONS, habits and words have a rippling effect – whether you are aware of it or not.
  • 23. 3. WHERE FOCUS GOES -- ENERGY FLOWS • MOST people wouldn’t tolerate a lack of positive focus anywhere but in their mind and imagination -- the ONE place where focus matters most. DIRECT YOUR FOCUS, to center your attention on what you want and/or what is GOOD---and keep it there. • Having a positive focus does not mean we don’t pay attention to things that go wrong. It means that when things go wrong we do not waste our time and energy worrying and complaining. We accept them and when the dust has cleared, mindfully make a plan. If solutions are available we apply them. If not, we stay open to possibilities.
  • 24. 4. YOUR FEELINGS DO COUNT • Feelings should be validated –not ignored. That is why we include emotional flexibility exercises and mental self help such as stress anxiety management and other ways to manage stress as resources here. • Also realize that most of the time, feelings can be redirected though attention. My basic philosophy for dealing with feelings is explained here. • Admittedly it is not always easy to do. That is why there are other resources here to help you. If this is an area you need help please talk to me
  • 25. 5. LITTLE THINGS ADD UP TO BIG RESULTS Your happiness and success are dependent on the small choices you make – every day. How do you know if you are making the right choices? • By asking which one will ultimately bring you the most happiness and fulfillment – not the short-term gratification.
  • 26. SUBCONSCIOUS MIND PROGRAMMING: THE PHYSIOLOGY OF LASTING CHANGE • Understanding the science behind subconscious mind programming is useful for making meaningful changes in your life. • Sometimes it is hard to grasp that our life experience is a result of what we believe to be true. And more often than not, those beliefs are just notions we THINK are true-- but in fact they are just perceptions. • Once we "get that," the hard part of changing our "programming" begins. With the right tools, reprogramming your mind is very doable. Understanding the science behind subconscious mind programming makes the process easier.
  • 27. A BIT ABOUT BRAIN FUNCTIONING • Your brain functions rhythmically in much the same way your heart beats. • The average brain vibration for an adult -- when awake and alert - is about 21cycles per second. Scientists call this Beta brainwave activity. This activity slows down when you sleep or daydream.
  • 28. RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONING DEVELOPS FIRST • Children have slower brain wave frequencies than adults. When a baby is born their brain rhythm is only a couple of beats per second. As they grow up and their brains develop, brain rhythm increases. • In children what is considered right brain functioning, develops first. The right brain is associated with the subjective senses, imagination, creativity, memory and intuition, or alpha activity. • These subjective senses can be developed to sharpen memory, problem-solving ability and decision-making. It is here that many of our core beliefs about the world are stored.
  • 29. HOW SUBCONSCIOUS MIND PROGRAMMING NATURALLY OCCURS IN CHILDREN • The left brain is the critical thinking part of our intelligence involved with logic, language and physical activity. It develops more slowly. In fact scientists now believe that brains aren’t fully developed until we are well into our twenties, possibly even our thirties. • Children are very receptive between the ages of five and fourteen when their right brains are active and their left brains – which includes critical thinking – are not yet fully functional. It is during those formative years that subconscious mind programming naturally occurs. It is how people take on limiting beliefs that sabotage their success.
  • 30. BELIEFS ARE PROGRAMMED BEFORE THE BRAIN HAS THE ABILITY TO THINK CRITICALLY • Many of our beliefs are formed in early years from what we see, hear and experience . At that time our critical thinking skills are not intact and we don't question the “mind programming” that takes place -– often by adults with good intentions. • So for example, a kid who grows up in a household where parents repeated something along the lines of “If you don’t get good grades in school, you'll never have a good job,,” may grow up with the unconscious belief that he is not capable of having a great job – or doesn’t deserve one—because he didn’t do well in school.
  • 31. SUBCONSCIOUS MIND PROGRAMMING IS THE REASON MANY PEOPLE SABOTAGE THEIR HAPPINESS • Many people unconsciously sabotage their relationships, weight loss, money and even health. Some people I have worked with who suffered chronic health problems as adults, had early childhood associations of getting much wanted attention when they were sick as young children. Those unconscious associations can direct bodily function in the same way that placebos cure people. • These types of associations or “beliefs” run as programs in our subconscious minds and unless we become more conscious and take steps to solve them, they can run our lives.
  • 32. Associations or “Beliefs” • These types of associations or “beliefs” run as programs in our subconscious minds and unless we become more conscious and take steps to solve them, they can run our lives. A metaphor I like to use in my classes is to think about about the layers of your mind like an onion – where the further you go into the center – the deeper the “programming.” Affirmations are great but you have to repeat them a lot of times for them to penetrate the onion.
  • 33. • The only sure way to rewrite your subconscious mind programming is at the same level those “programs were created" i.e. a slower brain wave frequency. That is why I teach self-hypnosis and other mind power techniques. • Hypnosis, self hypnosis and some of the other mind power exercises I offer, lower your brain rhythm functioning through deep relaxation and visualization techniques. Affirmations at that deep level of mind, along with targeted visualization processes and NLP techniques can rewrite your subconscious mind programming so you that you can more easily make the changes you want in your life.
  • 34. POSITIVE CHANGE HYPNOSIS CODE-WORD TECHNIQUE • The use of "Code Words" is a very effective positive change hypnosis technique for keeping your goal in the forefront of your mind, fueled with self- motivation • HERE IS HOW IT WORKS: • Haven’t you ever gone to the store and come back with a bunch of stuff except the ONE thing you went there for? The one thing that was so clear in your mind just a few minutes before? There are so many distractions in our lives, it is SO easy to get off track and just forget WHERE you were going or even WHY you were there in the first place....
  • 35. Distractions, loss of focus and lack of motivation • Distractions, loss of focus and lack of motivation are the major reasons why people don’t reach the goals they set for themselves. The Code-Word Positive Change Hypnosis Technique will help you stay laser focused. It acts as a shortcut to remember a whole series of concepts and ideas -- and the feelings associated with them -- by simply repeating a short phrase or word to yourself. • Think of it like a beacon signaling your new motivation. With your feelings and your focus working for you, your behaviors will naturally fall in line.
  • 36. WHEN TO USE CODE-WORD POSITIVE CHANGE HYPNOSIS TECHNIQUE • Use this positive change hypnosis technique when you want to: • Keep focused on your short and long-term goals • Stay positive and self motivated • More easily follow the action plan, habits and behaviors that will get you to your goal • This is how you can "program" the code for positive change hypnosis when not working with a hypnotherapist.
  • 37. HOW TO “INSTALL” A CODE WORD • Write out a statement with the concepts, ideas and behaviors you want to affirm in present tense, stated in positive terms. Include: • Specific outcomes you want to accomplish • Reasons why the outcomes are important to you • The new behaviors you will use to accomplish the goal • . After writing out your statement, give it a code word. . The statement should end with "all these concepts and ideas come to me whenever I think of the code word [insert your code word]." . Read the entire statement aloud at least three times with feeling and concentration.
  • 38. Say your code word out loud • To program your subconscious mind with your code word, use self hypnosis or relax deeply and repeat the code word. Bringing to mind all the concepts and ideas in your statement. Notice the shift. . Use the positive change code word "programming" daily to reinforce it while in a deep relaxed state. . Say your code word out loud --eyes open-- while brushing your teeth, driving, walking or standing in line--at least once a day to recall your commitment and motivation. • Once "installed" it acts like a shortcut for positive change hypnosis, to bring to mind all the ideas in your statement.
  • 39. EXAMPLE OF A CODE WORD STATEMENT • This particular code word statement was written by a student of my weight loss program Her goal for this positive change hypnosis exercise was to lose weight and get into better shape --which she did do! Obviously each context would be different. And everyone’s motivations and desired outcomes are different. This is just an example of ONE person’s so you can have an idea of what the finished process looks like. Yours should be unique and energizing to you. The person who wrote this statement was motivated by family and quality of life. Having energy and time to spend with her young grandchildren was very important to her. She had lost her husband two years prior to this process. • Because I love life and it is important to me to look and feel great, I enjoy healthy habits that keep me fit and thin. I eat whatever I want and maintain my ideal weight, though I naturally prefer foods that keep me in great shape.
  • 40. Think of the code word "think thin." • I weigh 125 pounds and comfortably fit into a size 4. I easily and maintain this weight and stay healthy. I eat only when I am hungry and limit my portions to those that my body needs. I eat slowly and appreciatively and feel satisfied after meals. I reward myself by taking long walks on the beach or a nice hot bath. I manage my stress well by taking time each day for positive change hypnosis, controlled relaxation and other “Mind to Succeed” exercises. • I use my learned techniques to overcome emotional impulses and negative behaviors immediately. These impulses pass quickly and occur less and less frequently as time continues.
  • 41. Think of the code word "think thin." • It is important to me to give and receive love from my children and grandchildren for as long as possible. I eat right and exercise regularly. These behaviors give me the energy I need to live life fully in every way. Because I am attracting my ideal mate into my life, I choose to look my best. I radiate with health and vitality. I look and feel slender. I am admired and respected by others. It is fun and exciting to be so attractive. I am physically fit and radiantly beautiful. This enriches my life and helps me realize my full potential as a human being. Having control over my physical body empowers me; consequently I have more control over my life. All these concepts and ideas come to me whenever I think of the code word "think thin."
  • 42. Q AND A • Why Anchoring is useful? • Anchoring is a useful NLP technique for inducing a certain frame of mind or emotion, such as happiness or relaxation. It usually involves a touch, gesture or word as an “anchor” • 2.Describe laying Anchor. • 3. What is pattern Interruption? • Pattern interruption is an effective NLP technique for storing key words into a listener’s subconscious mind. This can be combined with other NLP techniques such as anchoring for some excellent party trick. • 4.Why do we use Swish pattern? • Swish, also known as Swish Pattern, is an NLP technique that is very useful for replacing an unfavourable emotion or behaviour with a more useful one. • 5.How can we easily describe Swish pattern? • Think of Swish as a neuro-linguistic programming version of your computer’s “copy and paste” function. On your computer, you have some text, you copy them, and paste them somewhere else. With Swish, you can take part of a memory or neurological tag and paste it over the tag of a different memory.rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 43. • 6.What is Loop Break ? • Loop Break is an experimental NLP technique that allows you to con- sciously change or stop an unconscious process. It works by break- ing a looping process that your body uses naturally to enter various higher alpha brain states such as anxiety, fear, anger, rage and stress. • 7 Why would I use loop break?. • Why Would I Use NLP Loop Break? You would use NLP loop break to better control your own behaviour, and with practise you can induce a loop break in someone else to help them control their own behaviour. It is a very simple NLP tech- nique - and simplicity is often best. • 8. What is Happening in Our Brains During Highly Emotional States? • The reason we get quickly get more and more emotion is there is a loop occurring between our amyg- dala (region of the brain responsible for emotion), our memory and our body, which is bypassing our frontal lobes which is the region of the brain responsible for moderating our behaviour. rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 44. • 9. what is Framing? • Framing is one of those NLP techniques that fits in well with other NLP techniques. The framing technique itself is a type of emotional amplifier or de-amplifier, which works by rebuilding (or could be perhaps considered correcting) links in your limbic system between your amygdala and your hippocampus. • 10. What makes the framing NLP technique most affective? • What makes the framing NLP technique most affective is its simplic- ity and ability to be applied easily in conjunction with other NLP techniques. • 11. What is positive framing and negative framing? • Give examples of each one. • 12. What is Meta Model? • The Meta Model is a therapeutic technique you can use to help understand other people’s problems or help them understand their own problems better. Literally, the Meta Model means to decon- struct what someone is saying so you can find the underlying cause of the problem. rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 45. • 13. How Meta Model is useful? • It is often the case, that when someone has a problem, they subcon- sciously already know what the solution is. It is also often the case that they do not like the obvious solution, so they keep stirring the problem in hopes that a new, better solution will come up. This is very common in relationship problems. The Meta Model is designed to deconstruct the way someone words their problem, to get to the bottom of it. • 14. What is Deep structure and what is surface structure? • When we communicate, it stems from various prompts such as emotions and memories (deep structure), and sent through a web of cognitive processes before it leaves the speaker’s mouth (surface structure). Therefore it stands to reason that it is not easy to 100% effectively communicate the exact message we want to convey. • 15. What Is A Presupposition? • A presupposition is a structure of language that makes unverbalised assumptions. • 16. When pre supposition is powerful? • Presuppositions + Subtlety = Power rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 46. • A presupposition gets much more powerful with subtlety. Ideally, when someone is in a confused (suggestible) state, a cleverly-worded presupposition can be used to make the person believe your presupposed statement • 17. How Presuppositions are the foundation of hypnosis induction? Describe with example. • NLP master Derren Brown advises that the best method of hypnosis induction is a rapid series of presuppositions. The format of choice is “As and So” - which is a template that can be applied to anything that is happening and turn it into evidence that the hypnotic state is increasing. For example: “As you sit there in your seat you feel more relaxed, so too you notice your eyelids becoming heavier. And as your eyes become heavier and heavier, so too they become harder and harder to keep open.” Each of these statements take a truth (you are sitting in your seat) so you are bound to feel relaxed, and the statement presupposes that when you feel more relaxed you also feel your eyelids becoming heavier. And because you are feeling more relaxed, you automatically accept that your eyelids must be getting heavier. And so it happens. Although these presuppositions are stated only slightly deviated from the truth, they become very powerful suggestions that are increasingly easy to follow. rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 47. • 18. What is Mirroring? • Mirroring is simply the process of mimicking subtle behaviours with whoever we are communicating. • 19.How can we achieve Mirroring? • Mirroring can be achieved by copying any of these things: • • Speech patterns • Body language • Vocabulary style or specific choices of words • • Pace, tempo, pitch, tone, volume rravindrakumar@gmail.com
  • 48. The Ultimate Success Formula What Do You Want? In order to apply the Ultimate Success Formula, one must first know the desired outcome. • The following five rules provide specific instructions on formulating desired outcomes: • 1. State the outcome in positive terms. • 2. Be as specific as possible. • 3. Have an evidence procedure. • 4. Be in control. • 5. Verify the outcome is ecologically sound and desirable.
  • 49. The 12-step goal-setting workshop follows: • 1. Make a dreams list of things to have, do, be, and share. • 2. Estimate completion dates for the dreams. • 3. Pick the four most important goals for this year • 4. Review them against the five rules for outcomes. • 5. Make a list of the important resources already yours. • 6. Focus on times you used some of those resources well.
