Training               It is a learning process that involves the
                           acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of
                           skills, concepts, rules, or changing of
                           attitudes and behaviors to enhance the
                           performance of employees.

It forms the core of  apprenticeships  and
                        provides the backbone of content at
                        institutes of technology.

                         In addition to the basic training required for
                          a  t r a d e ,  o c c u p a t i o n o r p r o fe s s i o n ,
                          observers of the labour-market recognize
                          today the need to continue training beyond
                          initial qualifications: to maintain, upgrade
                          and update skills throughout working life.

Summary                 Due to pressure on business and not able to
                               focus on performance & leadership
                               issues, the companies are coming up with
                               Behavioral training    to build the core
                               values for the future.
                              Behavioral Training -Behavioral
                               methods  are more of giving practical
                               training to the trainees. The various
                               methods under Behavioral approach
                               allow the trainee to behave in a real
                               fashion. These methods are best used
                               for skill development.

                Switzerland, Quantum supplies skilled &
                experienced IT personnel to a wide range of
                blue-chip companies with particular strength
                in finance & telecommunication sectors.

               It has moved beyond the traditional staffing
                 agency role to provide consultancy services.

Founded in 1992 by chairman Stephen Trigg,
                Quantum has grown rapidly to its current
                annual turnover level of around £15 million.

               In 1999- 2000 the workforce doubled in a 12
                 month period, and the company now has
                 around 45 direct employees, around 130
                 attached consultants, & a database of
                 thousands of IT professionals.

               The company then decided to adopt a strong set
                of “soft” values such as leadership, vision &
                empowerment.

As a result of this experience, one of the suppliers
            approached was FranklinCovey, a global leader
            in the field of learning solutions for enhanced
            performance.

           Two members of staff are now FranklinCovey
            trained internal facilitators, & Quantum has put
            every direct employee through the 3 day seven
            habits programmer.

           One of the most important benefits to quantum of
            using the FranklinCovey learning solutions set
            is that it helps to provide a firm foundation for a
            growing young company.

             provide an alternative platform, a common
             language, & a principle- based approach to help

            Due to this change in method of training
