LOW FRICTION PISTON SEAL
Flexible X or V seal has better sealing at
very low friction. Hard chrome plated

Ordering code for manual override needs complete DRS code since the manual override can be installed
at a later stage, hence MIBH needs to be specific for each model
e.g. MIBH for DRSC0700E4 would be MIBH-DRSC0700E4

This is the standard version for fail close, or air to open/ spring to close. Looking from the top of the yoke
(i.e. Where limitswitch mounts), the drive will rotate counter clockwise (ccw) when air is applied to the actuator.
When air is vented, the spring will rotate drive clockwise to close the valve
CW
This is the version for fail open. Looking from the top of the yoke, the drive will rotate clockwise when air is
applied to the actuator. When the air is vented, springs will rotate the drive counter clockwise to open the valve
MOPD
The torque chart indicates the MOPD. (Maximum operating pressure differential) It is very critical not to exceed the MOPD
DUAL CYLINDER OPTION (-2)
This option designates that twin pneumatic cylinders are installed on the frame. For double acting twin cylinder style,
one pneumatic cylinder is mounted on each side of frame. For the spring return twin cylinder style, two pneumatic cylinders
are mounted in tandem on the pneumatic side of the frame

NBR -20 °C to 80 °C, Viton -20 °C to 125 °C, EPDM -30 °C to 110 °C, Flouro Silicon -40 °C to 110 °C,
HNBR -45 °C to 80 °C
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
DRS actuator can also be supplied with hydraulic cylinder. The torque chart for double acting and spring return is
same as pneumatic. To choose right size of Hydraulic Cylinder
• Choose DRS with pneumatic model with maximum air pressure possible as shown in chart
• Last three digit shows bore of the cylinder in mm.
• Select Hydraulic pressure in bar
• With above data calculate nearest Hydraulic actuator bore
eg. DRSD0600, maximum pressure allowable is 4 bar. (No torque details beyond 4 bar is shown) if Hydraulic pressure
is 100 bar the calculated Hydraulic bore will be 120 mm choose HY0125. Selected model will be DRSDHY0125

GAS OVER OIL
With the in-house capability to manufacture the complete line of control components, Rotex guarantees....
FEATURES
• Gas driven system
- Sour Gas can be used for Gas Over Oil application
- Gas pressure up to 2000 psi
• Storage tank for extra operation
- Secondary storage tank permits up to 3 operations
- Manual valves and NRV are used for preventing
gas to escape one of the line pressure
• Electrically or mechanically operated
• Large range of operating systems are available
• GOV can be installed on DRS, DRV, HYV or any
other make of actuators
• All pressure parts are as per ‘PED’ and available
with certifications
• Recommended oil “Aero Shell Fluid 4” or equivalent
• GOV panel can be completely gas pressure based.
In such cases the manual valves are used for controls
• Solenoid operated GOV panel can be used for remote
operations. SCADA connectivity available
• Gas Over Oil panel with hydraulic • Gas Over Oil with hydraulic tank, line break

GAS OVER OIL
....a highly reliable ‘GOV’
• Gas Over Oil with built in torque control device

• ROTEX GOV can also be used for actuator for rising stem
valves
• ISO mounting for direct mounting available on the basis of model
selected for actuator
• Standard temperature -20 °F. Special up to -55 °F
• All parts are manufactured from approved material as per NACE
(MR-01-75) suitable for sour gas
• All valves are zero leak construction. We use high pressure PTFE
sealing system, poppet and spool construction for higher reliability
• Manual override is possible with :
- Hydraulic options, to pump by hand to open or close
- Gas storage tank for 2-3 operations
- Manual overrides on solenoid valves to function the open/close
Operation
• Complete panel in stainless steel with all internal in stainless steel
(for gas wetted parts) is available
• Gas filtration/ dehumidification filters are installed within the panel
• System can be configured for line breakage control valve and torque
control valve depending upon the system requirements
• Gas Over Oil control system with various options

54. TORQUE CONTROL VALVE
• The torque control valve is used for limiting the torque
generated by the actuator to avoid the torques
exceeding maximum stem shaft torque
• Torque control can be set using the set screw
• In event of the torque exceeding the limits, it will first
try to block it. If the torque exceeds the limit beyond
this point, it would exhaust the gas pressure into the
atmosphere
• Only the stroke in the opposite direction would reset
the valve

LINE BREAK VALVE
