Qualitative Research –
• This type of Research is Hypothetical.
• Generally it can be carried out by answering Questions like What? Where? Why? When? How?
• It is also based on the facts by a similar research.

• This type of Research is mathematically oriented by creating charts, statistics, percentages and theories.

8. WHAT IS A DOCUMENT?
A “document” is a collection of data, regardless of the medium on which it is recorded,
that generally has permanence and can be read by humans or machines. Documents include
both paper and electronic documents.
A document is an amount of information on one or more related topics prepared for a specific
purpose and presented as a unit. A document may be used in a printed form, online form or a
combination of the two.
Examples of documents include: manuals, reports, proposals, letters, faxes and emails.
