20. 2003 to 2007
• The changes from Microsoft Office 2003 to 2007
were significant, but much needed. Users take
advantage of at least 4 times more features because
of the new user interface in 2007 – the “Ribbon.”
• Also the 2003 File Menu was replaced with the
Microsoft Office
Button in 2007
21. 2007 to 2010
• the changes from Microsoft Office 2007 to 2010 are more
subtle.
• however 2010 has so much more to offer and more
efficient.
• The Microsoft Office Button from 2007 is now gone and has
been replaced by the File tab within the Ribbon.
• The Ribbon is now in all of the applications, including
Outlook, and it is more functional than it was in 2007.
• 2010 offers clear advantages over the 2007 edition. While
the core functionality of creating documents, spreadsheets
and slideshows has not significantly changed, the
main appeal of Office 2010 is to those who use Office for
most of their working day – those users will appreciate
the new features and subtle changes.
