Living the Values in Meetings - Examples
- Ensure you’ve completed any
actions from the last meeting
- Find ways to include those who are present but silent
- Don’t talk over or interrupt other speakers
- Remove Distractions – no
laptops, iPads or phones unless
they are being used to take notes or
deliver presentations
- Design agendas that are
purposeful and therefore respectful
of people’s time and commitment
- Every now and again,
schedule time at the end of
a meeting to evaluate how
that meeting went:
• What did we do in this
meeting that really
worked well?
• What happened that we
never want to repeat?
• Are there bad habits
that we seem to keep
falling into?
