• Autonomous Motivation is based on Self-
Determination Theory by Edward L. Deci and
Richard M. Ryan

• In my experience, I can only trust with any one of them based on multiple one on one chat/phone
chat sessions.
• "If there is a difficult-to-work-with senior team member, with a lot of experience and
business/technical knowledge. Play key role in the group. He usually overpowers other's
voice/ideas to the point that inhibit openness/collaboration. Some developers resigning because
they can no longer work with him. What do you suggest? Do you let him go? Or try to stick with
him with low/no teamwork?"

  • 10. • The Learning Dynamic is represented by the upper semicircle with items grouped in 4 pairs • The Learning Dynamic is based on the work of Chris Argyris regarding Organisational Learning • Three of the four pairs are based on the FIRO-Theory of Interpersonal Relationships, which link to the desire for feeling: –Many Views and Collective •‘Important and significant’ –Ask and Collaborate •‘Competent and capable’ –Open and Trust •‘Liked and accepted’ • Understand and Work-life quality are Outcomes of the Group Dynamic Learning Dynamic theory-base More detailed information is available on Twitter @RodWillisGTC and #acceleratingcollaboration and https://getcollaborating.com/ The Control Dynamic represents the concept of Unilateral Control, this is generally destructive in terms of Team or Group performance
  • 11. • The Environment Dynamic is represented by the whole circle with items grouped in 3 pairs for Autonomous Motivation and 2 pairs for Mindsets • Autonomous Motivation is based on Self- Determination Theory by Edward L. Deci and Richard M.
