Hyundai offers two models of its redesigned flagship crossover SUV for 2014: the long-wheelbase
Santa Fe and the smaller Santa Fe Sport. The Sport is a five-seater. The slightly bigger Santa Fe can
seat up to seven, and replaces the three-row Veracruz. Our tester was the Santa Fe configured for six
passengers.

The Santa Fe’s signature design is shaped for families its third-row seating availability –
comfortably seating seven passengers. Standard on all 2013 and 2014 Santa Fe models you’ll find
equipped with cloth seats is a ‘YES Essentials’ seat fabric treatment that provides soil-resistant,
anti-odor and anti-static properties for added longevity and livability.
The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport seats five and the Santa Fe seats up to seven. A power-adjustable
driver's seat is optional on the Santa Fe Sport and standard on the regular Santa Fe. Leather
upholstery, heated front- and second-row seats and a power-adjustable passenger seat are
available on both models, and second-row captain’s chairs are optional on the three-row Santa Fe.

3. 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Performance
The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that
produces 190 horsepower. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 264
horsepower is optional. Aided by the six-speed automatic, it keeps the 3726 pounds moving
just at the speed of sanity. The Santa Fe Sport's fuel economy is fairly good for two-row
SUVs in the class, at an EPA-estimated 20/27 mpg city/highway. The three-row Santa Fe is
powered by a 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter V6. Fuel economy for the Santa Fe is 18/25 mpg
city/highway, which is decent for a three-row mid-size SUV
