2. So you've been inspired by your favourite podcast and now you want to create your own
podcast, but you are not sure how to go about doing it. Below I'm going to cover all the
equipment and resources you will need to prepare your podcast at lightening speed.
Resources
1) A computer or laptop to edit the raw recording and put it on the internet.
2) A microphone to record the podcast for your podcast.

There are many ways to make a podcast using the things above, now I will show one of
multiple ways you can go about it.
Having made certain you have a laptop and mic, you need to download an audio editing
program. Here I will use Audacity. Whilst downloading audacity, make sure to also
download a mp3 encoder, that way will save the podcast in mp3 format. Be sure to save the
mp3 encoder in the plugins folder of the.
Edit Your Podcast
The moment you have all the audio files for the podcast, it is time to edit. This is an
opportunity to add introductions and outros jingles and promotions. Make sure to remove
noise using the in built features of audacity to make the podcast sound better and also make
it the best experience possible for those that are listening to your podcasts. Be sure to go
through all the audio and remove the blank spots on the podcast. Also use the normalise
function to smooth out any audio spikes that might be present.

3. Preparing and Publishing
Now you have to save the finished podcast and add relevant tags. If you want like to create
more tags check out sites such as mp3tag which will let you do this. Now you have the
complete podcast finished, you need to upload online. At this stage you have to find an
stream hosting provider that you can upload the podcast to. This allows you to stream the
podcast to your listeners. Next use a RSS feed like EasyPodCast thay way listeners can keep
up to date.
