Enterasys for the data center presentation

Notas do Editor

  1. Everything that is critical to the business is part of the data center. The data center is your business and making the world’s most intelligent data center is ours.
  2. Mobile, applications, social, cloud and big data are the mega trends that are dynamically changing the industry today. The way that data centers are run and designed, the way that apps are architected and how they are placed into the network, the integration between the server teams, app teams and the network teams, these mega trends are massively changing the game and what a data center needs to do to support the management and overhead that goes into it. Here are some stats that identify that these trends are massively changing the way that your customers and your prospects have to deal with the data center on a day-to-day basis:Mobile: 2012 saw more total traffic volume that any other years combined: That was driven by mobile devices. Mobile is the new edge, it’s the new way that people access apps, those apps reside in the data center or come through the data center to get to Cloud, so that’s a massive impact.70 billion mobile app downloads per yr by 2014- If you look at those downloads, that is data that flows from the Cloud through that data center to a mobile app across the network through the data center over the wireless edge, so it has a massive impact on the amount of traffic flowing through the network .Social:72% of enterprises use social technologies in their business: It’s not only a consumer product, it is being done at work and for work and we are a great example of that, we use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest- there are many diff apps that are important to our business. When it comes to the data center you want to be able to identify and differentiate all of the things we talked about and so it is having a massive impact there as well.Cloud: 60% of cloud deployments will be hybrid by 2016: This means that not only are you outsourcing apps to the Cloud which means you have to have better visibility of what’s going on in your network today but you are also housing private cloud apps where it’s on you own servers, they are virtualized- this has a big impact on where apps are and the mobility of those apps and this goes back to the management and visibility of that data center. Cloud apps change the dynamics of how apps flow, where they flow to, east/west traffic, that traffic that is going outside your network. The hybrid element is really important to us, because as you look at the different data center apps, the things that are going to be moved to the Cloud are often times going to be the less critical apps, so what we retain here, even if you look at our own biz, our financial info, our key data bases that we are pulling from, all that data is very specific and very critical for us in running our operations. That stuff is going to stay in our data center, our data center may not be huge but it is really important, so providing a solution that provides the right level of performance, intelligence and the ability to manage that data effectively and get that data in a very efficient manner while allowing the IT teams to be able to manage that with small resources is really very critical and a lot of your customers are going to be going to this hybrid-Cloud element where you have certain apps in the Cloud and off-premise but a lot of critical apps will still be in the DC, the DC is not going to go away and our solution is the right size for that trend to continue to play out. Recent conversation with Gartner highlight that very thing: data centers are not necessarily going to continue to grow and grow and grow within the different enterprises, they will probably stay the same as you move to 10G you will get more efficient, but the criticality of those apps is the key and to be able to manage that intelligently with our solution is going to be of great value to our customers. Data centers will either stay the same or they may even shrink in size in terms of number of ports, virtualization and as you move to private cloud you are bringing those apps onto servers, the ratio of virtual apps to servers is growing – was at one time 10 to 1, now more like 40 or 50 to one, need fewer ports but are buying 10G, as you move to new servers with more VMs on them you need more bandwidth so there is a trend in the data center of moving from away from 1G to 10G, there is still revenue to be had there… the complexity of a data center even if it is smaller in terms of number of ports isn’t getting less, still have consolidation of storage, still have virtualization going on and the dynamic mobility of that virtualization. The intelligence that we build into that data center is very important, these mega trends are driving significant change, apps that are moving to public cloud may mean maybe fewer servers in my network, but the ones that are there still need to support that consolidated of server, storage and virtualization and that is where we come into play.90% of the World’s total data has been created in the last 2 years- now companies are looking to mine that, we are a perfect example, we are constantly looking at the biz intelligence that we have, we have tons of data in our data center and we are using apps to mine that data, means there is a different traffic pattern in that data center, the criticality of getting that information at any given time from a storage device over IP is changing the dynamics of the data center. Changing aspects of the traffic pattern, instead of N/S traffic coming from storage and server devices up through the network and out, you have a lot of E/W traffic moving server to server, you are increasing the number of virtual devices on each server and the amount of storage you have to deploy to support the growing amounts of data, a lot of that data is just moving from one workload to another on a variety of different virtual machines, it is really important that the network is able to support that east/west traffic in a very efficient and non-blocking manner and we have technology that does that.
  3. $1 Billion in Research and DevelopmentWant to make sure the customer understands that we have a lot of customers that use us in the data centerWe have spent $1 billion in R&D in data center technologyThe things that make us different: Our core flow, our flow awareness and the visibility and control that comes along with thatWe have spent $1 billion, a massive investment, to make sure the product meets the needs of customers todayDecades of Data Center CustomersWe have been doing this for a long timeWe have customers globally that use us, it is important to demonstrate that thought leadership
  4. We have a world of data center experienceWe have customers literally all over the world that trust us to implement their data center, in some of the most sophisticated data centers in the world, but again we want to paint the picture that this is not a niche market for us, this is a massive biz for us.There is an $8 billion dollar market today for that transition to 10G in the enterprise space that we work in, so we want to demonstrate that this is our space and we have experience there, they are the right size products, we have literally hundreds and hundreds of customers that have the exact same needs as the prospect that is sitting in front of you today.
  5. Customer Feedback Drives InnovationHow we’ve come to have the technology we have today has been driven by customer feedbackWe are the right sized company to do biz with, we’re global in scale but we take feedback from customersWe delivered a global Survey on the data center to gather information and we learned some interesting things…
  6. 73% experience unplanned cost for virtualization – inhibiting ROIMany times the CFO brought virtualization into the data center expecting to get a return on that investment which comes in from optimization, efficiencies, and cost savings, as a result of fewer servers and optimization of compute and memory of that environment, but in order to do that they need to get to VMotion, that dynamic mobility of those servers in the data center, and most solutions today inhibit that ROI because in many cases you cannot turn on the mobility of virtualization because it costs them more, more people, more hardware. With our solution, we provide that dynamic virtual awareness that allows you to achieve that ROI - this is huge.72% require network, server and storage consolidationThis is happening today- consolidation of IP storage, virtualization of servers, and it is truly difficult as the next stat proves86% face integration complexities – increasing operational expenseThe products that we are bringing to market are meeting these pain points, our solutions are proven and implemented. These stats show prospects that the challenges they are seeing are the same challenges that everyone in the market is seeing and Enterasys has a solution. With virtualization, often times what gets overlooked is the amount of orchestration and communication required, it is so easy to pick up a new VM and move it around, but often times the processes in the organization have not caught up to that technology capability, there is a lot of the overhead required to operate that and it goes back to making sure the environment is clean, understanding who has created the machine, what is the purpose, how are we using it, and making sure that the right network resources are enabled on the other side to accommodate that VM and allow it to do what it was created to do, that cross-communication is critical and that is what we enable.63% have consistent user satisfaction complaints – impacting perception of ITThat orchestration can manifest with a poor user experience and that means to the user that IT is not doing their job.A tremendous amount of money can be spent on a data center, but if the data center does not meet the needs of the end user, the perception is that IT is not doing their job and that is not a good place for IT to be.
  7. Building a Smarter Data CenterThrowing capacity at the problem and buying a bigger and faster box is not solving your problem, it’s simply masking the complexities you are having and that is a never ending loop.We don’t ask customers to whip out their checkbooks every two years to buy bigger, faster boxes, it’s about intelligence that is built in, we build the world’s most intelligent data centers that allows our customers to solve the actual problems of that consolidation of server, compute and storage.SIMPLICITY through unified visibility and controlWe build a smarter data center through driving simplicity, what is often times a manual process for other solutions of that orchestration or lack of any integration around the orchestration between server, compute and virtualization.Delivering unified visibility and control into that data center, it’s not just capacity, just throwing a bigger pipe at it and allowing whatever traffic you want to go through it with no idea if you are optimizing that environment, we have the ability to identify and control that traffic ensuring that you are optimizing that to make sure that business critical apps are getting the high priority that virtualization through mobility, you are controlling that traffic, you are aligning that virtual mobility with the control you want to have.AGILITY to rapidly adjust to changing business conditions We are a perfect example of this, we are a nimble company and are constantly bringing new apps in to drive productivity and value to sales, IT could be jumping through hoops to be able to deploy and support those apps through the data center that we have today, through Cloud or apps placed in-house. The simplicity and management we deliver allows us to be agile and meet the needs of the business.OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE lengthens investment lifecycleNot just about a bigger, faster pipe, it’s about being able to identify what traffic is on the network and control that traffic in a way that is meaningful to the business. Also helps to lengthen the lifecycle of that product, it’s a different approach than a lot of our competitors which ask customers to spend budget on the bigger faster box every few years, we have a 30 year heritage of having longer lifecycles for the product.
  8. Dozens of Disruptive Feature InnovationsDisruptive is usually seen as a negative, in this case, if you go back to the survey we delivered clearly what is being done today in the market is not working, it’s not meeting customer needs. What we are bringing to market, the simplicity, we are bringing dozens of innovative features that allow customers to deploy the technology and meet the needs of their business in a way that they could not before.3 New Data Center Switch FamiliesHaving at least a 2X increase in performance and capacity. You need capacity, there is no question, you need 10G, you need 40G in the data center, but it’s not just capacity, its capacity with intelligence built in and we are bringing all of that to market with our new solution.
  9. Reduce Complexity of High Availability and Disaster RecoveryIn data centers today, one of the most important components is that is where all your critical apps reside, it is your business, therefore redundancy within that is very important , customers build redundancy into their own data center with multiple links and high availability, but it’s not ok to just have a redundant data center in your building, most companies have an off-site data center (either on a premise outside of their organization, in the cloud, a hardware as a service potentially, or in a remote location within their biz), the complexity that goes into building that disaster recovery and high availability traditionally has been high and we have brought simplicity to that with many of these disruptive features.Network Awareness of Storage and VirtualizationIt’s not just the ability to support it, it’s the ability to have awareness to it and have that visibility and control for the virtual environment to support the mobility we have talked about as well as the storage.Storage is collapsing onto IP, the need to access it is growing because of things like big data and everything we need to do our job on a daily basis, as you bring that storage onto the IP network there are things like buffer capacities, that are incredibly important to be able to deliver that storage.Storage is a loss-less environment, it’s not ok to drop packets in a storage environment typically, so fibre channel traditionally has been the method to do that, it works great but is very expensive so customers are looking to transition away from Fibre Channel with the new storage they are purchasing, bring it into the data center bring it into the IP environment with iSCSI. For us we do that here and one employee used the words “I did it and it just worked”. Nothing was a problem, we laid that onto our network with the S-Series and because of our capacity of visibility and control and the ability to optimize, identify and prioritize that traffic in addition to the deep buffers that we have, it all worked. For most customers today storage doesn’t “just work” when you overlay it onto the data center the switches in their environment don’t have the capacity, the intelligence, the buffering to ensure that. So we sometimes feel like it is no problem, but for most customers trying to do that today, it is not a seamless integration. So when we talk about that awareness of storage and virtualization it’s incredibly important to provide that simplicity in that environment.Intelligent Service IntegrationOur ability to integrate with competitors. A lot of examples: SDN and our ability to integrate from a virtualization standpoint with vSphere, the ability to integrate with Citrix, Microsoft, with the different storage competitors, etc.
  10. Flexible form factors for all deployment needsIn conjunction with our promise of continuing to provide additional functionality with the same chassis platforms and are allowing you to add new functionality to that current product set and increase the overall performance, the form factors we are now providing range from 10GBase-T, SFP, the 40G, etc., as well as the traditional form factors that we have been providing.Scalable to 244X10G ports with 2X to 3X Lower Energy ConsumptionAllows for that expansion into the data center within the 10G spaceLower energy consumption helps keep the overall operational expenses down at a manageable levelPurpose-built CoreFlow2 – unmatched visibility and control at scaleThis is a true differentiator for us, not many vendors in the market right now that are building their own custom ASIC and we are the only ones to build a flow-based ASIC architecture with can scale up to millions of flows , 96 million flows within the S-series verses thousand of flows that other vendors are shipping now.Allows for a lot more visibility and control at scale, line rate, non-performance impacting, etc. When you look at SDN, we can do a lot more than our competitors can based on the R&D that we have put into our chip set.
  11. Future-proof – 2.56 Tbps 1G, 10G, 40G Support (100G Ready)Leading buffer capacity ensures application and storage performanceIt is important for storage applications, as you are moving traffic east/west within the data center and it is critical to be able to do that at a loss-less performance base and the buffering is critical to enable that, if you look at ours where we are providing multi-Gigs per slot in buffering verses typical trident plus based solutions with 9MGs per slot- huge difference in buffering capacity and ultimately impacts the performance within that data center environment as you are moving traffic back and forth across the server infrastructure and performing those workloads.Resiliency and ease-of-management with virtual switch bondingVirtual switch bonding is a unique chassis bonding technology that we are building upon, we have dedicated bonding ports within S180 that allow you to connect those chassis together without burning your other ports, which is something you have to do with some of the competitive platforms, it is a nice feature that allows you to connect them together and link them up directly.
  12. Disaster Recovery and High Availability Made EasyGuarantee Availability and Interoperability via standards-based meshingOur data center interconnect solution is very strong, we are leveraging standards-based protocols to be able to do this. We are using Layer 2 GRE to be able to make those connections, shortest path bridging, data center bridging to be able to help with that. From a data center bridging and congestion notification standpoint, as well as shortest path bridging, we are the only vendor in the market to be able to combine those two. Being able to use those protocols in conjunction with each other to provide that loss-less guarantee and assurance is really critical and is something that is a differentiator for us.Traffic Engineering to optimize user and VM to VM communicationWe are doing a standards-based type extension of various technologies. If you look at VRRP, our fabric router capability, there is an extension of VRRP we are making at a high scale Layer 2 interconnection across the data center. We are creating little mini routers in each of those areas so that you’ve got a very scalable routing infrastructure without having to employ full routing all the way down, which provides a much more seamless transmission of data across east/west. If you think about how Cisco’s fabric extender technology works for example where they have to tunnel all their traffic back up to the 5K or the 7K, we are providing that east/west traffic at a much better performance rate using these sorts of technologies, so it is very differentiating.Note: There was a webinar done which was very technically detailed on data center interconnect. This is a great asset for SEs and AEs to go back and watch to get additional information to add to this discussion with prospects. One of the key things that we are not asking our customers to do is learn new proprietary protocols specifically for the data center. Our solution uses standards-based protocols and definitions. We are using the same technology that we use in the campus that we use in the data center; even our management solutions are the same way. That is part of the simplicity of our overall solution that really provides for our customers to deploy these technologies much easier.
  13. Complete Robust FeaturesPerformance OptimizedLower Cost Form FactorThe 140 provides as much performance as our 150 did back in the day, we are providing the same level of capability with a more cost-effective solution for our customers, it’s the right size for our small and medium enterprise customers and it’s got a very strong feature set, we have not skimped on the features in any way. Really what you are looking at is tailoring the capacity and overall performance to the customer’s needs so this is going to be a very nice solution for a lot of our customers.
  14. Dynamic VM awareness and provisioningServer High availability via switch bondingEnergy efficient – less that 2 Watts per portA nice solution once you start to scale up the number of 10G ports that you need, as you scale up the number of ports within the data center beyond the few hundred ports that we might support in the S-Class, you’d use the 7100-Series as the way to do that. You’ve got the same capabilities w/ respect to the protocols, you’ve got the switch bonding for high availability – this is the stacking technology that I talked about - and it’s very energy efficient, it’s using the energy efficient Ethernet, the EEE capability on the ports to be able to shut down ports not being utilized and so it keeps the overall energy footprint down. When you look at Cisco’s fabric extender model, top-of-rack is important because it’s a different approach than a fabric extender which is really just connectivity with intelligence build upstream and not very efficient for that east/west traffic, that intelligence at top-of-rack is a big deal for us and it’s an easy way to contrast it from a fabric extender.
  15. You have both 24 port and 48 port versions of SFP+ and 10GBased-T. Our 10GBased-T portfolio now between the 7100-Series and the S-Class is one of the most robust in the industry. We’ve got more connectivity options now with 10GBased-T and as you look at a lot of customers that are wanting to save money on their fiber optics by deploying Cat6 cabling in the data center, a lot of them will look and say OK this is now a viable option for me, I am going to go with those sorts of deployments connecting straight onto that server port.
  16. Being able to have a centralized view point of the network elements, as well as the virtualization elements within the architecture is really critical and being able to have that communication between the network teams and server/storage teams is a really important aspect. Our Data Center Manager solution is truly a differentiator for us, it is very unique in the industry, we have interconnected the solution using our SDN OneFabric Connect technology and provide that visibility all the way into the virtualized environment. The virtualization guy can look within their vSphere control center and launch our OneFabric control center embedded right within there, and as they create VMs the nomenclature for those machines will appear on both sides, the vSphere center and on the networking side as well - this is key. As you create new VMs a lot of times the workflow may not be there and it is difficult to understand what someone might be referring to because what might be referred to and named on the network side isn’t necessarily the same nomenclature that is used on the virtualization side and so being able to provide a tool set for trouble-shooting for example is really important and a key value add and that helps to keep the overall OPEX low within the IT team in terms of managing the virtual environment, kicking off new services, being able to create that workflow, even automating it to the extent to where the posts are provisioned as you use vMotion to move something from one physical server to another. On the network side the ports are all reallocated and reassigned all with the same policies and everything that the network administrator may have wanted to ensure goes along with that provisioning of that virtual server. Those sorts of things are really what differentiates us and makes our solution unique.Note: Screen shot used on this slide is App ID, we will be releasing it in the Fall, we put it in as a teaser so you can look at some of the different apps and the visibility we talked about. It is something that is coming that will bring full visibility and control for apps in the data center. With NetSight 5.0, the app intelligence platform is in beta mode right now, prospects can look at it, it will be released with 5.1 in the Fall
  17. Customer-Proven Integration for VMWare, Citrix and MicrosoftDoing integrations for the main players in this space.Named Hottest Product of Interop 2013Reference to customers as a proof-point to what we are bringing out from a product technology stand point.Ongoing Community-Driven Development through Open APINew integrations, new ways to use that API are provided by our community-based customer set and is really going to provide an increasingly diverse amount of applications for OneFabric Connect and using it in new ways. We’ve already got a number of different applications for this with various use cases.
  18. If you look at what we’ve done obviously on the data center manager side with Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix, etc., we’ve also got a number of integrations already on the MDM side with Casper, Mobile Iron and AirWatch. We’ve talked a little but about iBoss in the past in terms of the web filtering but also some of the voice integration we’ve got, security as well. This is really what we alluded to, the user-defined create your own.As more connections are highlighted and as different opportunities come about we will be able to create new use cases to exchange data for mutual benefit and we will continue to build those out. At Garter conference we are launching this new product and one of the things that they highlighted from an SDN standpoint is that the most value from SDN is coming out through that north bound API integration and that’s what this is – this is the north bound integration into other use cases. This is where the value of SDN really becomes realized. It’s not so much that south bound open flow type orchestration of the network switches; we’ve already got a very rich capability there with our flow-based processor, with our policy implementation. What we are doing from a south bound standpoint is way more than what the industry can. What we are doing on the north bound side is also already ahead of what the industry is doing and very robust.
  19. Single policy enforcement engine vs. multiple with disparate controlsSimplicity is hard to achieve, complexity is easy. Building a solution that has a lot of different moving parts that is a compellation of many different products, which is the approach that many of our competitors take, is not that hard to do.The elegant simplicity is very difficult. The value we are bringing with reducing the cost, the overhead, that’s how it manifests. We’ve got years of R&D, a billion dollars invested, that has gotten us to this point. This speaks to one of the blogs that Markus wrote, so from an SE standpoint you can go back and read that. Talks about the components from Cisco that are required to do what we do.We use a single policy enforcement engine, we know that from our OneFabric architecture we do that literally from the VM all the way to the mobile user. When you go back to that perception of how IT is doing being based on the experience of the user this is a big deal that really matters. What are all of the components that sit between the application and the user, and how many different control mechanisms do you need to enforce that, what is the likelihood of having an error, of driving up your cost and the complexity? It’s significant when you have multiple different control points. This concept of policy in our single policy enforcement engine vs. everybody else that has multiple, it’s a big deal and we want to talk about that.Same Campus and Data Center High Availability Protocols vs. Varied and ComplexThere are dozens of innovative and disruptive features that we are bringing to market. The way that we are delivering shortest path bridging, the way that we are doing data center bridging, and the ability to do them together as we mentioned before, and bring them literally, if you’ve got a K at the edge of the network that high availability protocol is consistent from the edge of the network into the core, there is nobody else that can do that. When you talk about the data center interconnect (watch webinar for detail) everybody else takes a different protocol approach depending on where those are, if you look at high availability from a data center and disaster recovery, if your disaster recovery is in-house at a different location it’s one set of protocols if your Cisco, if you’re out of house, across the wide area it’s a completely different set of protocols to enforce that using MPLS and the complexity that gets driven with that is significant. We are saying that is doesn’t matter where that second data center is, the way that you connect them, the protocols that you use and the people that it takes to do that – it’s the same set of protocols. It’s much more simple, and operationally its far more efficient.Consistent Private and Public Data Center Interconnect vs. Multiple and IncompatibleEfficiency is hard to achieve and we believe that we’ve done it in a way that nobody else can.
  20. 54% Reduction in OPEXThis comes in in a number of ways, as we talked about it takes fewer people to manage that network, so that has a productivity impact that we’ll talk about as well. The other piece is that operational expenses are things like how much does it cost to power that. The concept of the green data center hasn’t gone away, and there is a massive impact on the S-Series as it compares to the Cisco Nexus 7000 with some of the higher end modules. There is a significant reduction in power consumption and again that manifests into operational expense reduction.42% Lower CAPEXIf you look at a Cisco Nexus 7000, VM-Series Class modules which are their higher-end modules, which they’ve built for the very high end - the service provider for the public Cloud environment, and they are trying to push them down into the mid-sized enterprise because that is the platform that they have architected. If you look at our solution being right-sized, we are deploying a solution that meets the needs of the market today and customers that we have today in the mid-market and we can do it at a significantly lower capital expense depending on the configuration that you are up against. 50% Productivity ImprovementsFrom an Enterasys standpoint, we are very similar to most of our customers, who are mid-sized enterprise customers competing with much larger customer. We need to therefore, do more with less. We’re operating at 50% or less of the staffing and productivity that other competitors are doing. If you look at the ratio of administrators to users, it’s a real value. That centralized view and management enables you to do more with less and we are saying that it can even be higher than a 50% productivity improvement by leveraging us in the data center.
  21. Virtual Server, Storage and Network CoordinationThe end-user drives perception of success- that requires Virtual Server, Storage and Network Coordination. As a user I am accessing data and information and applications – things that either reside in the data center or in a private or a public Cloud. The data center is becoming very important for that. As an end-user, my expectation of what I get as an experience requires that coordination between those modules and we are providing that.Control Automation Ensures Consistent User ExperienceUser Perception Becomes RealityIT can spend a lot of money on new products and massive capacity in the data center and still fall far short of enabling that user experience.Going back to that survey that we did there is a massive number of organizations out there where the end-users perception is poor and we solve that problem.
  22. Customers Leading the WayThere are certain vertical markets that we do well in, healthcare, K-12, higher-ed, manufacturing, but those aren’t the only markets – we have global customers that are doing some very innovative things with our data center…
  23. NE Patriots: It’s not just the mobility and the wireless that everyone knows about, the Pats deployed a state-of-the-art data center. All of those video feeds that are coming from the field that the user in the stands is accessing, comes through that data center. So the performance of that data center and the requirements are quite heavy.
  24. Carbonite: Their business is doing remote backup for consumers, you point your computer at home to Carbonite, you do snapshots across the wide area network, the internet, and they store that data from a backup standpoint, so if your hard drive crashes, all of what you wanted is available. Their entire business model is built around that data center – its massive scale and they trust Enterasys to deliver that data center.
  25. Renfe: the national rail system for Spain, again a very large complex environment, they have 450 million passengers annually. This is a very interesting and complex environment and the trust Enterasys to their data center.
  26. Charite: Located in Germany, they are a very large, long-standing health care organization. You are talking about life-critical networks, resiliency of the data center isn’t just about making sure that it’s always available for the business, but that it’s always available for the sake of the lives of the patients in the hospital. They trust Enterasys to their data center.
  27. oBoticario: Located in Brazil, they are the largest cosmetics and perfume retailer in world with over 3200 stores in Brazil, and their data center is Enterasys. We’ve got a lot of existing customers and a lot of vertical markets that we do well in, but we do well in other markets outside of that as well and we wanted to show that. As you look at our breadth and depth of customers within the data center you realize that we have been doing this for a long time. The tool sets now are that much better to help you win in the data center. If you look at the new hardware platforms and the new capabilities we are providing in the software firmware between data center bridging and shortest path bridging, extending VRRP with fabric routing and IP host routing etc. and then if you look at what we are providing with data center manager from a management standpoint, it really is a triple threat solution to go in and address the key concerns from an IT standpoint within the data center and ultimately provide that end user experience that we know is critical.
  28. Insourced for expert data center consultation every timeWhen you are talking about the most critical part of the network, that’s important. Average Tenure of 14 years ensures rapid resolutionIf you have troubles in downtime and it pertains to the data center, time to repair is critical and it is really important that we have that expertise that answers the phone and resolves that on the first call. Industry’s highest-rated service departmentWith the hybrid Clouds, what remaining on the on-premise data center are the most critical applications that a customer has within their business, it is driving their business, so the support aspect is hyper-critical to be able to make sure that their network is going to be able to continue to perform and maintain the uptime that they need and want.
  29. We have given some tangible evidence to this point; we’ve got a lot of customers and references throughout the world that we can lean on that shows that. The visibility, the control and the embedded intelligence is something that is a very different approach than any of our competitors take and why do we do it? Because there is nothing more important than our customers.
  30. The billion dollars that we’ve spend in R&D, the fact that we take feedback from our customers that drives our innovation to make sure that the products that we bring to market solve the real world challenges that they have today. It’s all because there is nothing more important than our customers.Hopefully you can see that our data center solution is a very different approach. Good luck selling!
